Have you checked the Voltage Limiter? When it goes.... so do the fuel
and temperature gauge. :2cents

John
when the limiter goes bad do the gauges die or do they stay pegged ?

Re: 69 W100 Window Regulator

my window fell out too.. the regulator mechanism was mostly in good shape, but the track that holds the window was disintegrated and split from rusting. the one rear clip had broken free from its spot welds and fell into the bottom of the door, where i found it. i ended up rivetting the original bra...

Re: Accessory Gauges

i think i took apart the plug from the back of the headlight switch and found the main feed for the dash lights..
then i either piggybacked on that slot or crimped two wires (the original and the new) into the flat blade connector to run a second feed for the new lights

Re: 1967 d100 sweptline shortbed project start

i think all these pics are of the same chrysler square back alternator.. i don't know much about the ins and outs of the alternator types, but i do know that my '69 truck was upgraded by a PO with the square back and solid state regulator, so that's what i use. the wiring is still very simple, but y...

Re: VIN Tag Placement

you're right.. i looked through my photos and couldn't find a photo with good perspective... you can just barely see the corner of the tag in the large version of this shot, near the seatbelt: https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5488/11005140596_56ba2ced92_b.jpg (it's oriented vertically) VIN tag rivets ...

Re: 8 3/4 Axle identification Help

if money is tight, you can usually borrow the cheapest type of flaring tool from your local autozone or pepboys type shop. basically you buy the tool and they will give you a full refund when you bring it back; it's their policy. the tools they sell are pretty much the cheapest version though, and i...

this looks like a really cool well cared for vintage truck the original paint and the super cool kamper top adds a lot of interest for me 4x4 and short bed are really nice qualities that are definitely less common to find and together (you know how long you've been searching !) the engine swap is le...

My brother had that identical bugeye Sprite! In 78 we loaded it in the back of my W200 long bed and took it with us on a 1500 mile road trip. Lotsa fun!
that's something i'd love to see !

do you mean the sprite fit in between the wheel humps ?

my '69 was originally close to that color..
rattlecanned black now, unfortunately... it's just starting to peek through in spots now though

i like it on these Sprites, called 'iris blue'
