Is the /6 and poly the same in 64? I had to make mine using a 1977 D100 440 mounts. I have a 64 with the old style frame mount. Post a photo, I have 3/4 sets. Craig

Re: 318 kickdown linkage
Stop! Do not drive it until you fix it. The KD is needed to regulate the pressure. You will burn the transmission up. Post photo and well see if we can help you out. What do you mean by "funny". Craig

Re: Round Mirror Refinishing
I could be wrong but I think the metal is formed around the glass. The mirror on mine is tinted. I’m just wondering if yours is or if it was some strange option. My interior mirror is too. Only the interior is original. Yes, it is formed around the glass and possibly tinted or old glass. I haven't ...

Round Mirror Refinishing
I have an original OEM round mirror that needs refinishing. Was the mirror secured in the housing with something like window glazing or seam sealer? Craig

Re: Front axle (2WD) disc brake conversion
Do your research before buying either and there are several posts here. Search function is your friend. I have Scarebird and I had no issues with the drums. I think they actually worked better than the disk. If you hit the brakes hard, it would about throw me through windshield. If the dropped axle ...

Re: tapered axle
I wouldn't mess with a tapered axle. I've rebuilt one but, wouldn't do it again. I think you would be happier with a later housing and axles. I would think you could find a complete differential. Craig

Re: Shock Stud Parallelism
You can get the tech specs in a PDF or catalog. Look for whatever length, loop, or stud size you want. I then just ordered them from O'Reilly. I did that when I lowered my 64. Craig

Re: COIL & External Condenser?
I don't think I had a bad coil either. The T series is the economy series. The other is more like oem. Their Blue Streak line UC12X which usually has brass, copper and better materials. Your stock ignition probably doesn't care what coil. Craig

Slant 6 and poly motor mount
I couldn't find the answer through search. The early 61-64 frames have the funky motor mount. I know the /6 has the big thick rubber mount and the unique engine to mount brackets. Questions: Will a /6 and poly v8 use the same mount? Can you buy the mounts somewhere? Thanks Craig

Re: Tie Rod Ends
Ive never seen anything like that on a swept. Was the truck lowered? Looks like it to me with the 1948-64 Ford pickup truck dropped tie rod ends. Also, look how tall the axle is and the custom link. If ya need them, Speedway sells them. If I remember correctly, someone else posted about them too. :...
