Re: Model 86 Heater Box to Cab Foam?

Yeah I ended up getting the foam tape used for a camper shell. It's a dense pliable foam with a sticky back.

Coiled it around the air inlet on the box twice and then carefully laid a strip horizontally on top of the coiled portion to reach the appropriate height.

Re: I wasn't quick enough

Trust me, you didn't miss out on anything. I've seen that truck up close and personal, spent a lot of time on Vashon Island. That thing was a heap. If you just have to have a rusted out, rotten, nothing works anymore cheap Swepty... head out to Kapowsin. There is a Mopar collectors junkyard out in ...

I wasn't quick enough

So mad I missed out on this one! :banghead I emailed this guy like 3 times but just found out the truck already sold. I've been dreaming that I would be one of those guys who finds a killer deal on a Swepty and this was it. The fact that it was a crew cab absolutely kills me because that is what I r...

Re: Carpeting question for '65 D100

If you're going to be putting carpet in or a factory rubber matt you will want these so you attach the carpet.

Those holes are both used for the sound deadening material on the firewall as well as to hold the carpet in place depending on exactly which hole you're talking about.

So back to original question... Does anyone know where I can get a vented cap that will fit our trucks which is similar to the style I posted above?

So to clarify, you're saying the one that I posted and example another person posted are from the newer trucks and are non-vented yet I need vented correct? That's how I've read this thread.

Re: Gas Cap

You are correct, that's the style I want but don't believe it will fit our trucks. If it will fit and keep gas from pouring down the side of my truck then I'll order it up ASAP.... Here's where I found the one pictured: http://www.ebay.com/itm/GAS-CAP-NEW-FOR-PLYMOUTH-DODGE-CARS-/281110890056?pt=Mo...

Re: Got the lowered truck ready to drive, then THIS!

Not the best answer here as I have no experience with your specific engine but a cheapo $7 mechanic's stethoscope can do wonders when trying to isolate a noise. Usually you can even clearly hear if it's a gear based noise vs grinding or something else.
