Installed a Gen II kit in 2000. Fairly easy and works well.Only complaint was the heater control is cable controlled and is kind of stiff to operate regardless of routing and lube.I believe current controls are more elec. controlled. I was able to modify the original compressor mount to support the ...

Got mine repaired at Tri Starr in Seneca Falls ,NY.Was around $150 and works fine.He turned it around in about 10 days. GP

You're probably right on both counts,enviro and mfgs. cheaping out.I use time,like you said.letting things soak in Simple Green not a bad way. Also I have had great luck with mineral spirits. Not bad and reasonably quick.GP

It might be clutch is not completely disengaging due to longer clutch fork.If pivot point is same then you have a longer lever doing the same work easier,but work load travels shorter distance.Just a thought.GP
