Re: Another New Guy
I wasn't to happy when the truck showed up to drop it off. The cab is going to cost me a fortune to fix. Luckily I have an understanding wife and plan on keeping the truck for many years to come.

Re: What are my chances ?
I have seen plenty of crew cabs with a slant six but most are 2wd. It will take some searching but I bet you can find one.

Re: Another New Guy
Only pic I have of the all original Poly 318 and the factory PTO winch. We took the winch off as the truck is in outside storage and I didn't want it to walk off.

Re: Another New Guy
Really bad rust do to the seam sealer in the drip rails drying out. This will necessitate a top replacment as you can see daylight out both sides of the cab above the front doors.
There is also an old school sun tach that was put on pretty early.

Re: Another New Guy
Besides the rust this truck is nice and clean. I have parted out parts of the 71 W200 parts truck and am really looking forward to getting to work on this truck. Eventually the motor, trans, front and rear axle will be for sale. I also will have a core support (has a hole cut in it), two fenders, tw...

Re: Spindle Nut Removal
Here are some pictures of what one of the nuts looked like after removal. They did have set screws in the holes. They are flat heads and not allens. There are 3 set screws and two holes at 180 for I assume a wrench or socket. Under that is a washer with holes for the set screws and a tab for the key...

Spindle Nut Removal
Guys, On the 1970 parts truck I am having trouble removing the spindle nut. There is somethign on top of the nut that will turn if about 1/4 of an inch then stops. Any suggestion?
I felt around the keyway and there is nothing but grease in it.

Re: What mirrors are these
The mirror housings have a checker or X on the back not the rounded style. All of the rodsor poles have adjustments so it looks like the ones that are now on it are aftermarket. If that is the case, I will buy something that is close and will work. I plan on doing a cummins conversion and want the t...

Re: What mirrors are these
Jim, Is there anything special about the mirror? One of the (for lack of a better term) bolts broke during removal. If it is easily replaced I may go that route but if not, I am sure the glass can be replaced and they can be sand blasted and repaited. I guess I could always drill out the stud, put i...

They are WIDE to say the least but I dig them.

Rear Utiline Brackets
Gents,
What are these brackets for? I assume they are for a hitch or they are bumper brackets for a utiline.

Do any of you recognise these mirrors? I am sure they would work great with a trailer.

Here are a couple of pics. I will see about taking some more with the kids this weekend. My daughter and son have the same birthday and will be 4 and 2 this year. For now both of them love playing in the garage with me. My daughter is getting old enough to actually help and not just be into everythi...

You could buy all if the parts to make your D200 a W200. There are lots of parts trucks without titles to be had for a decent price.

Re: Looking for Advice on My Shop
How tall is the roof? Cold you deck the rafters and put up a set of stairs (attic space retractable type) and use upstairs as storage?
