Re: Slant six engine hoist mounting locations

Hopefully you got the flywheel with the 318. They are not the same as the/6. I have not yet......that's on the list of things to do next as well but I appreciate you making sure I was on it!! I am debating about swapping out my a745 for an nv3500 or something of the likes in the 5 speed variety. I'...

Re: Fender removal question

Thank you everyone! I almost have the passenger side fender off. A couple of the U clip nuts snapped off because they are rusted so that's always fun :banghead . I will deal with that this weekend and then hopefully have at least the passenger side off. Then clean up and patch some areas and do some...

Re: Slant six engine hoist mounting locations

Thank you everyone! I managed to get it out tonight with a load leveler but I also had to remove the brace that attaches to the drivers side of the block and then to the motor mount. I had remove the nut and washer from the stud of the motor mount but didn't think/know that I also needed to remove t...

Re: Slant six engine hoist mounting locations

What year is the truck? Crossmember mounts or engine side mounts? Tranny still on the bell or off? Radiator out? Fan, pulleys, alternator, etc off? Cab tunnel cover off? Sorry should have stated all that! It is a 1967 d100 with the a745 3 speed. Radiator out and fan and alternator off. Starter is o...

Slant six engine hoist mounting locations

Ok everyone…..I apologize ahead of time for my silly question here but can someone tell me where I should connect my chain for my engine hoist on my slant six? I tried the ports on the top of the head and I cannot for the life of me get the bell housing to lift high enough to clear the mounts. I tri...

As long as the firewall is structurally sound I would do it without any bracing.
Thank you very much for your response! I will investigate just to make sure but by all accounts thus far it looks to be sound so I should be good…..hopefully lol. Thanks again!

Fender removal question

Hello! I know all of the bolts that need to come out in order to remove the fenders. However, my question is do I need to prop up the hood hinges at all once they're removed? My only thought is that there is a bolt that goes through the hinge and into the fender so I wasn't sure if it was supporting...

1967 Dodge D100 sheet metal thickness

Hello! I apologize if this has already been discussed and I just wasn't able to search it up properly. Can anyone tell me what the factory gauge is for a 1967 D100 body? I'm thinking that 18 gauge is the correct option but I wanted to be sure as my neighbor who is a fabricator is going to help me ma...

Re: Dome Light Wiring

Thanks again for your help! I finally got out in the garage last night and used a strand of 12 gauge electrical wire to run up behind the hinge, up thru the pillar and into the roof. One I got that in, I taped my 14 wire to the 12 gauge wire and pulled it back down thru. I am finally ready to hook u...

Re: Dome Light Wiring

Thanks my5mopar! My headliner is out also (was out when I got the truck) and I was starting to think I was crazy because I am having trouble finding the opening in the pillar. I will give it a shot and see if I can get it and if not I will reach out. I appreciate your assistance!

Dome Light Wiring

Hey all! I need a little please with the wiring for the dome light in my 67 D100. I was troubleshooting to find out why the dome light would not work and it turns out that the yellow wire feeding the dome light was cut somewhere about half way between the fuse block and the dome light itself :thinki...

Thinking of selling slant six, any interest?

Hello, I currently have a 1967 Dodge D100 with a slant six in it. I am debating about selling it and swapping to a 318 but I need to sell the engine to fund the swap as well. Just curious if there is any interest? I am located near Ashland,Oh and am open to offers. It turns over and has roughly 80,0...

Re: 67 D100 /6 Distributor Question

Hey Craig - sorry this took so long to get back to you. Life happened . At any rate...I did some quick tests tonight and I am wondering if my coil is possibly bad. I tried jumping the negative to the battery negative and the positive to battery positive and I still got nothing out of it. I also...

Alright so it's been a while since I last posted on here. I am currently plagued by an issue where I am not getting any spark on my truck even after replacing the points and condenser and ensuring proper gap. I also verified the battery is good and is supplying the correct voltage to the coil. I als...

Re: No start, possibly bad ignition switch?

Ok, so I took more careful measurements by employing the help of my daughter and at the coil while cranking I am only getting 8.6 volts. Also, I turned the ignition to on but not cranking and was still getting 8.6 volts at the coil. Should I be looking at the switch or possibly running fresh wire on...
