Re: Dodge Trucks in the movies and TVs

I seen that Audi commercial. It showed the back of the truck while it was going down the road and a bunch of tires were coming out of the back. It looked like a big window sweptline with the late swepty tail lights. Gotta see it again to see if it had the big DODGE stamped on the tailgate or the lit...

Re: firewall leak

I have the same problem and don't know how to get to that area to work on it. Even if you gut out the interior and cut out the metal and weld it all back how do you get in there to put the seam sealer or what ever you use to seal it up? I know the water has to run out the front of the firewall in th...

Best replacement floor pans

Hello: Anybody out there know who makes the best replacement floor pans for our trucks? I have seen pictures of some with the indent for the body bolt and some with out. I am ready to purchase a couple and want the least amount of problems when I install them as this will be my first attempt dealing...

Re: Dodge Trucks in the movies and TVs

Just saw a Discovery Credit card commercial and they were showing different people putting gas in their cars and trucks. There was this one older guy with a cowboy hat on and you can see the left front fender of a maybe 66 or so sweptline. I froze the picture and it sure looked like a sweptline. It ...

Re: Dodge Trucks in the movies and TVs

I watched the first Dirty Harry movie and saw what looked like a red 70-71 parked next to a curb. It was like across the street and it was Red with a white grill. There was also a white 63-64 Chitty pick up driving around the streets.

Dodgydan: I am very interested in how you are doing the cross over steering on your 4x4. Please send us some pics on how you do it. I have a f@#d p/s box also and would like to install it on my 4x4. Just not sure what kind of interferance the pitman arm will have on the cross over steering. Any info...

I was there and only saw the Orange one with the 5.7 Hemi. Saw a couple more I think 69 long beds and another one out in the Parking lot for sell. I think it was a 68 4x4. Where was the other one with the Hemi in it? I was at the Cannery Friday night and at the track all day Saturday and back at the...

Re: sweptlines on film .......

Just saw a splenda commercial and the guy was sitting on the tailgate talking about splenda. You can see the tail lights, the left rear corner of the bed and the rear window. Small back window, so maybe a 67??

Re: Which floorjack

1965D100: I've had a 1 1/2 ton Heim Werner since the mid 70's and after all these years it has served me very well. Recently it started leaking and I can't seem to find new seals for it and around here they want too much $$$ to reseal it for me. They don't make these jacks any more (at least not lik...

Re: Firewall area repair

Well now I know I am not the only one with this problem. Great pictures. Russ: Is that a picture of the driver side? Very nice repair. Is that the factory seam sealer where what looks like the body panels meet or did you apply the seam sealer? If you did how did you get in there? Did you do any meta...

Re: How often does your Sweptline hit the road?

The 71 D-100 usually gets driven about 1 to 2 times a week, usually to run local errands when I'm not in too much of a hurry. It's always there when ever it is needed, like the other night when our neice needed help moving. I try to find reasons to drive it, like to go pick some fruit at my relative...

Do you still have any of the (Old Style) Large Grey shirts left with the DODGE name under the picture of the truck?? If you do I want one. If you have any Large shirts with the Dodge name under the truck, I would like one of each color. Let me know and I will send you a check.

Re: replacing box corners

I just finished restoring my bed last month. I can tell you that you cannot remove the bedcaps without removing the entire side of the bed. There's just no way around it without destroying more metal than you'd ever want to. My best suggestion to you is that you sell your bed to someone who needs i...
