Re: Fast an loud swepty episode!!
Rayman, I totally agree with you about this miss match BS that the show did to the truck, and $50,000. Really? $50,000 for a miss matched Dodge with Chevy and Ford parts. But I have admit, seeing the look of the end product, put a smile on my face, because my Sweptie is a '67 short bed 2wd that is 1...

Re: Fast an loud swepty episode!!
Well,From my point of veiw our trucks are not that rare. I see them all the time and i have 15 of them. The only thing that is rare is finding one that isnt all rusted out or beat up to bad. The only thing that this show has done is drive up the price of the good parts trucks still in the feilds ar...

Re: Fast an loud swepty episode!!
Just watched the 2nd episode and the truck turned out pretty cool. I have the same truck but its a '67. Personally, I would NEVER put a Chevy motor and Ford suspension in my truck but the show put the Sweptline out there. The thing I loved about the show is that Richard Rawlins talked a lot about th...

Re: 440 Headers
Thanks! It's either brand new headers or buying the passenger side manifold and replacing the broken one. Doren does remakes, but they cost the $170 each! Ted

440 Headers
Does anyone have a suggestion on what headers to buy for my 1976 440/727 swap? I am putting it in a '67 2WD. The motor is basically stock with a Edelbrock performer intake and carb.

Re: Oil pan sump?
I am doing a 440/Slant six swap in my '67 two wheel drive. The 440 I have has a front sump pan on it. Should I switch it to a rear sump or will the front sump work better. Thank Travis for bringing the subject up.

Re: 67' 440
I just picked up the 440 about a month ago. I was told it was rebuilt with about 10,000 miles on it, and it has a Edelbrock Performer manifold and a "muscle car cam". I pulled the Thermo Quad and going to put a Edelbrock on it. Do you have a suggestion on a cam?

Re: 67' 440
Thanks. I have the same set up. A '76 440/727 out of a motor home with a front sump oil pan. Is there any other issues/problems with the motor swap? Currently I have a Slant 6/727 combo in there now with 3:55 rear end.

Re: 67' 440
I don't have any suggestions on the rockers, but have question for you. I am doing a 440 engine swap in my '67 D100, and was wondering if you had a problem with the oil pan clearing the axel? Also, how did the motor mounts line up? By the way, nice build!
