Re: A100 front axle width and disc brakes

I didn't think to look for a new axle. I don't like to part with more than $4.00 for anylhing so I don't think of buying something new :banghead, probably cheaper in the long run. I will look at Speedway Motors.
Thanks,
Tim

Mike, I don't have power steering in my W300 either I just use the pump for the brakes. If you are planning to add power steering later there would already be a pump there. The only difference when running power steering and hydro boost together is that you need an extra return line on the pump or y...

Re: Taking my front axle off for a 3' drop & disk brakes..ad

I used a hydro booster on my W300 largely because of the clutch master. The booster that I used is out of an 81 Dodge B350 "schoolbus chassis" that was a cube van. It seems to be the same one that is used in the 94 and up Cummins trucks. The mounting holes are the same for the booster and master, pr...

Re: 71 Fargo W300

I have not cut ANY part of the truck to install the engine. I opted out of the intercooler because of the destruction it would cause and it really is not needed. The truck can be put back to original very easily. I'm picky that way. The fan will be easy to solve by going electric or choosing the rig...

Re: Disc brakes on my 70 D200

Did any of the 71 and earlier trucks ever come with discs?

Re: Brake Conversion

Hi, When I did my Cummins swap into my W300 I converted to Hydroboost. It was easy and it bolted into the existing vaccuum booster holes. I got mine from an 81 or 84 (I can't remember) B350 "school bus" chassis and I am pretty sure that it is the same booster that is in the 94 to ??? Cummins trucks....

A100 front axle width and disc brakes

Hi there, I am pondering a straight axle swap into one of my 64 Dodges (car) to make a Gasser street rod and I think that an A100 axle will work. I don't have access to one to measure and I need to know the wheel flange width if anyone knows. I am also guessing that the disc brake kits for the D100 ...

71 Fargo W300

Hi there, I am looking for info on a 1971 Fargo W300. Does anyone know how rare this truck is? I have only seen one and it is the one that I own. It also has on the option tag "DISC WHEEL". Are these the 19.5" or?? and if they are the 19.5" are there identifying numbers on them to confirm that they ...
