Statesville, NC

I need to know about Statesville, NC and Zimmer. My son has an interview at Zimmer and we would like to know about the area and any info on employment with Zimmer. Is Zimmer a good company to work for? Do they generally pay well? Are employees usually happy there? Is Statesville an expensive place t...

Re: tow rig

How is the 71 doing??? and your son???? :thinking The 71 is temporarily on the back burner. :banghead The same son (Jordan) that the 71 belongs to keeps bringing in projects. The 65 Polara Custom 880 didn't really need anything other than a few cosmetic things, but he wanted to swap out the 440 for...

Re: finally got a tow rig

why not combine the 2!!! Nice truck! :Thumbsup I have actually been on the lookout for longbed extended cab one in the 90ish style (less money) to use with the Sweptline crewcab body. This shortbed is too short (and way too nice) and I would want to use frame and all for the switch. I am stil...

finally got a tow rig

We finally purchased a truck that we can use to carry home our Sweptline finds. It has always been a lot of trouble to get our stuff home with just the half ton gas burners. This is a shortbed 2wd 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 with the Cummins and a 5 speed. It is very heavy duty and has the Camper Special pa...

I ended up getting some from a salvage yard that would ship, so I guess I won't be buying those. Thanks for the offers. I knew I could depend on you guys. This way will just be less hassle on everyone.

Railroad or shipping help needed

There is a guy in Avra Valley in Arizona that has two doors (not Dodge) that I really need but he won't ship. I live in middle Tennessee, so coming after them is not possible. I was hoping someone would be willing to get them and ship them to me or even better someone that was coming this way (very ...

Yes, all of those are available, but I don't think they come as a set. The pieces are sold individually
as can be seen in the link in my post above. Part numbers are shown for each part.

Thanks guys but those are a bit out of our budget right now, but I did get some ideas from those vendors. I also ran across a writeup about converting using an A518. http://www.transmissioncenter.net/SwapInformation.htm But since his car has a BB 440, I am thinking that won't work. Any ideas on that?

info or item help needed

I am trying to figure out how to put an overdrive transmission in my son's 65 Dodge Custom 880 (Polara). It has a 440 with a 727 tranny right now. We recently upgraded to a 3.91 sure grip rearend and could really use the overdrive at times. I was researching a bit on what big block trannies were ava...
