Re: Champion vs. U.S. Radiators
I've had a champion radiator in my truck for over a year now. No leaks and cools just fine. I did immediately put a new cap on it though. The one it came with looked suspect.

A previous owner put on the brake booster. I was told it is an A-body booster though.Jhollett wrote:Sorry for going off topic, but what brake booster is that bamm? did it take much fabrication to make it work? Thanks

Re: Sweptline Radiators from Champion NOPE....
Like I said before I have a champion radiator in my truck right now. We made a brackets to hold it at the bottom and drilled a couple holes at the top. Couldn't have been much more straight forward.

Re: Sweptline Radiators from Champion maybe
bamm how do you find that combo? I may be in the market for a new rad setup... how well does the alternator take that load? Does it cool good enough? I put the part number right there give them a call and they can set you up. Just make sure you have the radiator hose outlets that fit your setup, th...

Mine has the same outlet. And the dimensions will be close to spot on to begin with if you go with the one made for the charger.

Re: Radiator
I just had a champion put into my 67. Had to have a little fab work done but I don't think my mounting situation was stock to begin with. Very happy with the cooling and quality.

Re: Mustang II IFS
I have the JW Rod Garage crossmember, but I have JW Rod Garage components. I had a few issues with the rack not being wide enough for the frontend, but I think that is because I mismatched parts. My tierods clear the frame by about 1/2". I have heard guys with the Fatman have to notch the frame. No...

Re: Mustang II IFS
I have the Fatman kit on my truck. The parts are well made but I didn't care for the fit not their customer service. If I could do it again I would probably get a setup from Scotts Hot Rods.

That's the exact combo that was in my 67 when I bought it. Motor Mounts, trans mount, big block radiator, and maybe. Drive shaft and you are ready to go.

Re: Help finding preformed carpet
I assume you bought the lower cost Poly backed ACC carpet? I wish I'd bought the Mass Back for the Dakota I did as I'd love to see how much better it might have fit. Nope. I got the mass back one. It seemed like they had the carpet crooked when they molded it. I fabbed some aluminum trim pieces and...

Re: Help finding preformed carpet
I used the carpet kit that RockAuto sells. It is made by ACC. It was molded well but the overall fit wasn't excellent. It required lots of trimming on the driver side and was actually a little short on the passenger side. But the price is right so I made it work. After a little wrestling with it it ...
