Re: Emblem restoration?
Thanks for the info Jim. Problem is, this actually isn't for my Swepty. It's for my 1965 Chris Craft Constellation. I've been looking for several years for better emblems than mine, and I actually found one NOS set, but they had probably about 15 pits per square inch. And they had never been out of ...

Emblem restoration?
I've been out of the game for awhile and my pot metal restoration guy has since retired. Any recommendations for sending some emblems to? Quite a bit of pitting. I was referred to a place called Paul's Plating or something like that, in Pa. I called them, and they want $3800 to restore my emblems. T...

Re: Poly or Hemi? TAKE MY POLE....I mean....POLL!!!!
Bought a Poly from another forum member. Just have to figure out how to get it here from Georgia. Only has 3k miles on it! Valve springs, cam, dual 4 intake.... then into the truck it goes!

Sweptline express rolling west through Georgia?
I bought a motor from a member in Dalton Georgia and was wanting to see if anyone plans on heading west through Atlanta or nearby? I-40, I-20, or I-10? Headed to Dallas, Houston, or Okc? I will pay gas/fuel for this leg of your trip plus $100 cash. Post or PM me, either works fine. I know it's a lon...

Re: Poly or Hemi? TAKE MY POLE....I mean....POLL!!!!
Here's an idea. Rebuild the poly for the cool factor, then put an MSD efi (or equivalant) system on it. Self learning giving you the best of both worlds, runs great and more hp than a carb. Better yet, do a search on stroking that poly. Use a cut down 360 crankshaft, 360 poly, they make awesome hor...

Engine color 61 Poly?
Working on getting everything together for this winter and I need to know what color the Poly's were in the 61's? Red like the later ones?

Looks like a pretty good start Kahill. Hang on to both those bumpers. They look pretty straight.

Just ordered everything I need from Kenny. I've gone the scrap yard way before and learned the hard way, IF someone makes quality repop parts.

Re: Poly or Hemi? TAKE MY POLE....I mean....POLL!!!!
To me the poly has more cool factor. Sounds like you are making a more period type truck, keeping the straight axle and original color. Keep an eye out for an Edelbrock P600 (one on ebay currently) and get some of the new Chrysler Power finned valve covers to dress it up. If I were going to do the ...

Poly or Hemi? TAKE MY POLE....I mean....POLL!!!!
I need some advice. First let me tell you the plans for the truck: It's a 61 D100 SWB (that's Short Wide Bed for those of you from afar). Repaint close to original color (white over yellow), front axle flipped with a drop front axle, rear just a tad bit higher to give it a good rake. 15x6 Torque Thr...

61 d100 rear drum?
Anywhere I can still buy a new rear drum for a 61 D100? One of mine is just too thin. Which ones are interchangeable with the 61? Up to 65.5 or higher? Or is 61 a one off year?
