The 62 has a good drivers fender and thats about it, its pretty trashed. I'm thinning out the whole herd and probably only keeping one truck. Too many irons...

Reds new toy, 1917 DB roadster

I'm still around, just not much as I would like. Does anyone know anything about these cars? I need to know if the serial # is stamped on the frame anywhere. I bout it as a shell and frame off ebay. Plans call for a 62 poly, 3spd and 8 3/4 all out of my 62 D100. Any help would be much appriciated! Red

Thats excactly what it is, When the bore is worn beyond boring, it can be brought down by overboring it and pressing in a thin metal sleeve taking it back down to a usable bore, ive seen many toasted, but matching # High dollar cars saved this way, in fact i know of a 440-6 that has all eight sleeve...

A steel sleeve will stay true where as cast will not, allowing better ring sealing due to the bore staying round and not distorting under heavy loads, not noticible in street engines, but in the early days of HP, some guys would put ford tractor sleeves in thiere 392 nitro burners so the rings would...

Almost everything you find in this part of the midwest is rusted to the point of salvage only. Its rare I get a truck in that dosnt need extensive repairs to floorboards and rockers, most of the time the cowls are shot rendering the cab junk. Every rust free truck Ive seen in this part of the countr...
