69 D300 Radiator Replacement?
I'm looking for a replacement radiator for my 69 D300. My radiator is a chrysler unit, but it's not original to the truck. I looked in my 69 Truck parts catalog and it looks like it should have 2909652 part number on the radiator tank. Do any of you have one or have a truck that has this radiator in...

NP 435 Rebuild Parts
I plan to pull my NP 435 from my 69 D300 soon to replace the clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, and pilot bushing, and do a resurface on the flywheel. While I'm at it, I want to go through the transmission and replace the synchros, bearings, and rebuild the shifter. When I drive it now I hav...

Re: 1969 D300 Disc Upgrade
This has me confused. Are you seeking to have front disk brakes on your solid beam D300 dually axle? I am guessing that hubs/rotors from 75-93 D300 trucks won't fit due to them being from IFS? 94-01 3500 series CAB CHASSIS 2wd duallys had a solid beam front axle with 8 lug disc but the bolt pattern...

1969 D300 Disc Upgrade
OK guys, I've been wanting to do this for a long time to my dually but there are no real options out there that I know of that allows me to retain the original front axle. The only way I know to do this and retain a 2 wheel drive front axle, would be to remove mine, swap in a D200 front axle, use th...

D300 Drum to Disc Conversion for 8 lug?
Does anyone have a kit for converting drums to discs for the later 8 lug trucks that ran from 69 to 71? My drums are getting thin and trying to find replacements is a joke. My truck is a dually. I've seen kits for SRW trucks but not for DRW. If any of you know of one that would work it would be much...

Seat Upholstery 1969
Hello all,
I am interested in having the seat recovered in my 1969 D300. I believe the blue upholstery on the seat to be the original. Is anything like this made anymore? Can anyone confirm if this would be original? My truck is a custom trim level.

Re: Dodge Trucks in the movies and TVs
I remember seeing a D300 in Radio Flyer and in one of the Dirty Harry movies. Seems like there was a swepty in one of the scenes in two lane black top where they were cruising through a town too. Can't forget about the power wagon in Lone Wolf McQuade.

Re: 1969 D300 pics
Haha, oh yea. We use it along with a chain hoist to pickup about anything we need to load. It is the best cherry picker I've ever had Back up, pull the motor and trans out out and set it down on the back of the truck.Kaegi wrote:very nice. that over built picker will pick up about anything!

1969 D300 pics
We've been working on the truck quite a bit lately and I thought I would take a few pics and post them up. We repainted the cab, bed and put some newer wheels and tires on it. I went through the wiring and got all of the lights back operational and fixed the tail light harness. That was a real mess!...

Newer Seat Replacement?
Hi everyone, I am looking to replace the factory bench seat in my 69 D300 with something newer, more comfortable and something that might have shoulder belts integrated in? The original seat that is in the truck now, the springs on the outer edge to about 12" inward are worn out and I feel like I'm ...

king pin differences?
What moog kit do I need to order to replace king pins on my D300 truck? I've found two different #s. An 8454N and an 8454B. I see different components in each kit, but I've never replaced king pings before. So I don't know what the different components are that I'm looking at other than the pins the...

Re: Tremble in front end when driving
Well, I jacked the front end of the truck up today and pushed and pulled on the top and bottom of the tire and had my dad watch the spindle/king pin area. All of the slop was there. What moog kit do I need to order to replace them on my truck? I've found two different #s. An 8454N and an 8454B. I se...

Re: Tremble in front end when driving
You'll definitely see if the king pins or pin bushings or shot. And you may just need to reset the preload on your front wheel bearings. After cleaning and repacking them of course. One of the trucks here did that to me, thought the front end was falling out, just needed a bearing service/setting. ...

Re: Tremble in front end when driving
In that case, you might look for: - worn out steering box - worn tie rod ends - worn out king pins - worn out drag link - worn out leaf spring bushings One, or a combination of the above could lead to your front steering/suspension vibrations....
