hood hing springs

Hey fellas, Happy Holidays.

I've been noticing the hood likes staying up less and less and today I whacked my head on it pretty good. I don't know if this is a common issue on these trucks , mine is a 1971, is there a replacement spring or springs that fit and work? Thanks.

For the next fella with an exhaust leak coming from the front of his slant six head.....Don't, DON'T, whip the head off...replace the 5/8 frost plug in the front of the head behind the heater hoses [impossible to see with the hoses on] It will have a rust hole in it and it's located in an exhaust po...

Re: What to with my 67 D200 camper special?

I like the rust. A complete NICE paint job on that truck would cost more than the truck would ever be worth. Take the cap off, get some cooler wheels, re-do the seat and interior, I guess you cold buff it, Black will look nice, rattle can some of the lower rust ... It took 40 years to get the way it...

It's vintage. The newer Grant wheels have 3 holes per spoke. The ones from back in the day were Superior 500 wheels and they had 4 holes per spoke. This one was NOS ebay find...4 spokes, sez superior 500 stamped under the horn button. Grant installation kit works fine [when you figure out which one ...
