Re: Fuel delivery woes
If it starts and runs fine cold and you're getting the symptom of vapor lock, only when hot...start with your carburetor settings, ie float setting, fuel pressure, choke pull off, accelerator pump, etc. Then check fuel lines, filter, sending unit sock, etc. eliminate as much rubber hose as possible....

Re: '68 D200 Camper Special WTB Distribution Block
First off, you can't use a factory master cylinder with disc brakes in the front. As mentioned already there are residual pressure valves in your master for drum brakes, disc's can't use the pressure valves. The factory master cylinder is not going to work even if the pressure valve is removed, not...

Re: Riddle me this?
Bypassing the radiator for the tranny lines doesn't seem like a good idea on a OD transmission. Most of your OD's are designed to lock OD out at temps below 50 degrees engine temp, that's the major roll on the radiator, to help heat up the tranny fluid. All those era tranny's were controlled by the ...

Re: new front end
Quite a few guys have done the QA1/Gerst setup and are pretty happy with it. Just keep in mind it's all based on mustang II front suspension components, so it's far from a truck suspension as far as ratings go. I think it's a much safer and cleaner setup than some of the other things guys are doing....

Re: Filler hole location and gear oil change Dana 60
It is a 69 d200, I'm pretty sure it's a Dana 60 with sure grip, I know I need an additive for limited slip, the service manual suggests that there is a small "filler hole" on the side of the diff. The manual contains multiple diffs though and only one diagram when discussing lubrication, does a Dan...

Fill, should be right on the cover. 80/90 is pretty standard for drive axles and 4oz of additive for Sure-Grip.

Re: Vacuum choke
As Terry mentioned, the vacuum pull off is designed to open the choke when the engine starts. There is a setting for it, but it only will work with the automatic setup. The cable setup you have or any other one will not allow a pull-off to function. If you install the original thermo setup on the ma...

Woops, I actually needed the bellhousing to flywheel torque specs. I ordered a shop manual, is this the one you guys are using? https://www.themotorbookstore.com/1968-dodge-truck-100-800-shop-manual-supplement.html?cmp=googleproducts&kw=1968-dodge-truck-100-800-shop-manual-supplement&gclid=Cj0KCQjw...

I'll get back to this a little later, I'm still doing some research on this and a bunch of other SERT's people have asked about.

Re: Data Plate and Differentials
I'd like to see photo's of those, if possible. When you say newer, what years are you referring too? I do not have photos. The HAXXX SERTs listed above are from 1971 trucks. There is also a HA8032 from 1970 that is just labeled "Cooling". 17385 listed above was from a 1969 truck. Where are you gett...

Re: Data Plate and Differentials
Update - Eric Bannerman was able to help me out. Eric has a wealth of of information on SERT numbers. Thank you Eric! Heavy Duty Cooling (larger radiator / fan shroud) = 17347 The (17347) is a mystery. I can say with confidence, it's not associated with the cooling system as Dodge did not call it H...
