Websites for selling my '68 D100

Might anyone have some good websites to sell my '68 D100 driver since new California truck, original unrestored truck (few new unoriginal parts, not many), 318 ci, automatic shift on the dash. Thanks

Re: Turn Signal indicaters

The brochures that Ma Mopar made for the upcoming year cars and trucks were printed months, if not a year before the next model year went into production. I have brochures and advertisements for Challengers and when I ordered mine in '71 some of the things in the brochure never existed or were never...

These are pictures from Fremont Dragstrip in '77....I saw the Little Red Wagon in it's hayday there. The earlier clip on this thread looks like Fremont Dragstrip back then.

Re: Heater Cores Not Available

Thanks for all the help. The parts store manager showed me the e-mail he got from the factory which stated there were none available and no plans to manufacture more at this time. Now they're out of stock at Amazon too. I suppose when the existing inventory dries up and prices get up over $100 they...

Re: shoulder belts?

I used the shoulder belt holes in mine (they had little buttons in them) to mount new 3 point belts. The problem I have is that the hole is pretty high so the belt cuts into my neck a little. I wish I could find a set of belts (now that I've spent a good bit on these from Snappin Turtle) that has a...

Re: '70 "Alternate" Ammeter wiring help anyone?

Hey nytemuvr, can you look to see where your negative field terminal from your alternator is grounded? It grounds itself to the engine, no wire. I have the new style square back alternator has two field wires and I have the old style VR in my 71. I just grounded it to the firewall. It's charging an...

Re: starting issue

See the picture of the 4 connections Starter solenoid. This one was for a later model and that is why it has 4 connections on it. My 68 original one only had 3 connections and grounded through the body of the solenoid. Maybe that wasn't good enough and that is why they changed them? I don't know......

Re: '70 "Alternate" Ammeter wiring help anyone?

The original black wire in the engine bay, from the bulkhead connector to the alternator, gets replaced with a direct-to-ammeter heavy gauge wire (alternator direct to ammeter = black). The original red wire in the engine bay, from the bulkhead connector to the starter relay, gets replaced with a d...

Re: starting issue

Is the starter relay likely to fail intermittenly? Also does it have to be grounded where it is fastened ? Thanks jim Yes, sometimes the contacts inside "weld" themselves together (or get corroded and/or dirty) and about the grounding, I just screwed it in, but don't think so. Part of my spare part...

Re: Heater Cores Not Available

Just a note to let everyone know this. I went to O'Reilly auto parts in November and got a quote for a heater core for my '70 D-100. At that time they were in stock at the local warehouse with next day availability. Wellll.... now that it's cold I went back to get one ...NONE in warehouses anywhere...

Take the fuel pump off and check the tension on the timing chain. Also check to make sure your distributor weight springs are intact and on their posts.

I'd try adjusting it first and replenish the oil. I did that to my '68 and it made a world of difference, with just that.

Usually the instrument lights and accessory lights wires are orange on all the Mopars I've worked on around that period I think, but that looks like a heavier gauge orange wire.

Agreed.. but HOW much newer? I don't want a computer to control everything, but I like the idea of fuel injection, electronic ignition, power steering and breaks, but a solid straight front axle... still want 4x4 conversion. Thinking a 3/4 ton donor... Like an early 90's model W250? am I way off my...

Re: And the rest of the oil is where?

I changed (or maybe not) the motor oil AND the oil filter in my '65 D100 with 318 V-8. So I open the drain plug and only about two quarts of oil drains out from the pan, and maybe another quart (or less) comes out with the filter. And yes, PRIOR to beginning this, the dipstick read FULL. Refill req...
