Re: hood hinges
come up with a fix and tell us. I have 1.25 inches worth of shims to bring the back of hood down, no lie. Ive tried EVERYTHING and this is the only thing that works. Either my hood is bent, or hinges are bent or worn.

Re: clutch pedal doesn't return all the way
one more tip. My clutch pedal returned all the way back but it seemed slow. My foot speed letting off the clutch was always a little faster than the pedal could match and it wasnt easy to drive. After spending weeks adjusting the return spring bolt and having no success, I simply hosed the hole asse...

Re: Is this called a Bypass Hose?

I run the 180 as this was the stock stat for most every V8 mopar in the 60s - 80s. I do drive my truck during colder weather and the 160 in deed would make for a col...

when you cut them to fit, how do you keep them from falling apart? Do you simply tape the ends with black electrical tape?

Re: wind noise!!!
After putting new rubber seals around my doors BIG difference in wind noise! I also put in new wing vent rubber seals as mine were cracked, brittle and broken in some places. NOTE: I did not rivet the wing vent rubbers as original, too much time involved for me as you pretty much have to completely ...

Re: 65 D100 Paint
make sure your truck wasnt re-painted. Take off something that has original paint under it. My early 65 swept was painted Sand Dune from the factory. I didnt know this until I started removing bolts underneath the hood. Sand dune is a neat color, creamy antique white.

Re: I Keep Replacing the Slave Cylinder - It Keeps Leaking
i would go through slave cylinders about every 2 years. With my last one, I swapped to DOT 5 silicone. That was 3 years ago. Im one year ahead so far!!!!! I figured that if I could keep out all moisture I would be ahead. My slaves were showing rust inside.

hood shim question
Hi all, I read jim M section on how to adjust the hood. My passengers side rear corner is a mile high. After doing all he said, I still had to use just over 1/2 of an inch worh of shim!!! It did the trick, hood looks better than it ever did. I used about 1/4 of an inch on the drivers side. Are you g...

Re: bumper
my solution, I had the big, ugly, heavy, rear step bumper that made my truck look like it belonged on a rail road track with rail wheels! I hated it. I simply took the front bumper off another sweptline, welded on my rear bumper brackets, and presto!!!! It looks and fits great, perfect match to the ...

Re: Power Steering "Wedge Shims"
That was me! I had the shims for sale and sold them. My truck was a 2 wheel drive and I put the proto tech power steering conversion kit on her about 8 years ago. The truck was very difficult to keep on the road. It was a nightmare trying to pull a trailer. I was almost ready to take the power steer...

Re: Show me your seats please!!!!
I don't have a pic. but I used lil red express seats in my 65 sweptline. I did it because I found it cheap, they looked good, and they had a center counsol. My bench was toast. I had to make an adapter bracket of course, but kept the original mounts, didn't hack them up so if I ever wanted to go bac...

I took my time and taped around the boarders of the raised letters then spray painted. It looks perfect. I did this 5 years ago and it still looks perfect.
