Re: Need Help Identifying my Paint Color
tHANKS gUYS, My 'F/S Green' description was the best way to describe this color - it seems to have worked. Anyway, I think it's probably 'Medium Green' (since it's a 1969 model) from the chart that 68shorty posted. ANyway, I may go with that & get some paint mixed - but I am considering going with a...

Need Help Identifying my Paint Color
1969 D100 It 's that 'Forest Service Green' color. ANyone have a color code, or better yet some paint chips to share? For some reason I can't seem to find this on the paint chips that I'm finding on-line. Here's a picture as well: https://picasaweb.google.com/107431581343453976432/DodgeD1001969#5799...

Anyone Know of a Forum for '72-'80 D's ?
Hi Guys,
Although I've primarily been a pre-'72 guy, I want to find a forum like this one that focuses on 1972-80 D-Series Trucks. Can ayone point me in a good direction? Thanks.

Hey MichaelG, this is off-topic, but I noticed the avatar of your truck - Is the color that light ('Forest Service' lookin') green? If so, it looks just like my '69 D-100 here in GA. If not...you're truck is still nice looking :) Sorry for the temp hi-jack...we now return you....

Re: project: BLOWN SLANT
I Love It! I always wanted to do something like that w/ the /6's in my life, but always ended up coming to
the conclusion that I had a V-8 ready for a quick drop-in. I've seen some /6 Tubo setps, but never one that's blown - Good on Ya!

Basic Question: Which 727...
...is normal for a D-100? I want to say that the 'Long-Shaft' is correct. Also, what other things to watch for? Sp.ine types? Torque Converters? etc, etc I should know this, but don't. I am asking because I found a 727 which the owner says came out of a running 1975 van. He seems pretty reputable & ...

Re: What is the Latest V8 Trans that Bolts Up to a 1969 318
mAKES SENSE. I also got two of those mini-starters for each of my 2 Barracudae. The first one, I didn't reseach & paid too much, but 8yrs later, it's still spinnin' hard. The second one, was new for about $80 (I used the info for a '98 Intrepid, or a 1990s Ram, I think). They are great, as you menti...

Re: What is the Latest V8 Trans that Bolts Up to a 1969 318
I thought that sounded a little too easy. Anyway, it's starting to sound like I should just take the plunge & find an A518 lockup. BTW, can you use the TorqConv from the 727 on the 518?

Re: What is the Latest V8 Trans that Bolts Up to a 1969 318
Thanks '40'! I'm gonna chk your link. BTW, I saw what looked like a control kit that modifies the 727 so that it has a 'high range 3rd gear' (almost O/D?) online by a company called PATC. Ever heard of them? Here's their link: http://www.transmissioncenter.net/SwapInformation.htm . Go down til you s...

What is the Latest V8 Trans that Bolts Up to a 1969 318 ?
I have a 1969 D100 w/ a 318 v8 bolted to a 727 Auto Trans. The Tranny's fwd gears gave out (I think it still goes into Reverse, though). Anyway, I wanna find another 727 (or a A518?) that I can just bolt in (I'll pull the orig & rebuild it). In order to do this, I'd like to know what the latest year...

Re: Krazy Project: D200 CrewCab onto a Ram Dually Frame
I'm planning on doing the same swap. I put together these measurements for a visual. so, for the 154" vs 160" wheelbase, you're going to add that 6" to the frame? btw, my w250 1st gen ext cab donor is 149" wheelbase Or maybe make a 6" Filler onto the Bed, perhaps in the form of a Toolbox/Storage ar...

Re: Krazy Project: D200 CrewCab onto a Ram Dually Frame
Hey Gentlemen - Thanks for the info - it's informing me very well. It looks like there are some critical issues, but do-able. Regarding the SPecific Posts: 1) That EBAY Project is interesting - I'm curious to see what the final bid will be. Due to my circumstances, I've got everything I need to do t...

Re: Anyone know anything about these?
I may volunteer to be that guniea pig. I've been wanting to do the HEi upgrade for a couple of years. I converted my 1968 Barracuda to the Electronic Orange Box setup & it works good. However, I have read that the HEI upgrade gives a more 'proper' & efficient spark. With the simplification of the co...

Krazy Project: D200 CrewCab onto a Ram Dually Frame
Has anyone done this? I have a 1996 Ram 3500 Dually w/ a Rough Body, but good Frame & DriveLine. I want to put the Body from a 1963 Slant 6 D200 CrewCab onto the Ram Frame. I know it sounds over the top, but it would combine the best of both & allow me to simplify into 1 project...if the Geometry is ...
