Glad the saw is working for you...you should try a MODERN saw one of these days and see the difference. I was up in the woods behind the house this weekend removing some maple trees blocking our DirecTV signal. I am a big fan of the Oregon antikick back chain...but with the limited use it will get, vibration is not a big issue.

My guess is that bottom ring, the compression ring is bad. Try a leakdown test and see if you air out the breather.
