Re: Hood Alignment
I can only tell you that it is a very common problem with these trucks. Someone on here will know the answer.

Re: Points vs. Pertronix
After fiddling with points for a while on mine - I switched to Pertronix about 4 years ago at the same time I replaced the plugs, wires, coil, etc... I have had zero problems. But, as a back-up, I keep a set of points in the glove box. This has been by second experience with Pertronix - I used them ...

Re: Certicard ?
Thanks for all the replies and info on the Certicards. I took Ol Yellow to a local car show a couple of weekends ago. Had one guy in particular very interested in the story behind the truck and thought the warranty card was very cool. I like having these little bits of documentation that help to tel...

Re: Certicard ?
This is my best guess, E engine ,T trans ,RA rear axle ,FA front axle ,FS front spring rate , RS rear spring rate. Thanks. Anyone else have anything on the Certicards? What UFO says here makes sense as far as it goes... How many here have the card for their truck? I think Chrysler only used these f...

Certicard ?
CERTICARD QUESTIONS As I've mentioned before - my D100 came with some of the original paperwork from when the truck was new. One of the items I have is the Certicard. I did a search on this Sweptline forum and only found a handful of hits for "Certicard". I've done a little other Internet searching...

Re: how much should I ask for this truck
Hey, thanks for the "props"... Referring to my truck as " high end"! Love the bone stock trucks. How does the engine compartment and undercarriage look? The only sweptlines that I see going for 10k+ are either supremely detailed, body off repaint, frame and undercarriage totally done and nice, or ul...

Re: dash pad?
The dash pad started in '67 - maybe late year. It is a safety feature. Same thing with the low-glare matte black paint on the dash (instead of body color) to reduce glare. As to the "ash tray" - my understanding is that the one on top of the dash was THE ash tray BEFORE the addition of the dash pad....

Re: righty loosie?
I have always heard that Chrysler did this as a safety thing... in other words, the rotation of the wheel in motion would not tend to loosen the lug nuts if the ones on the left were left hand thread. The ends of the studs should be stamped with a "L". They did this on trucks (and on cars too, I thi...

I salute you.

Re: Tx Teacher Just Bought My First Sweptline D200! Any Tips
Congrats. Must be low mileage... still has the original seat covering, which is almost unheard of, and it's an automatic trans! Looks real good. As far a repairs go - my first thought is always the BRAKES. I want to make sure a vehicle will STOP before I worry too much about if it will GO! Good luck...
