The hood hinges on my 66 had to be slotted at the firewall to get a proper fit for height and width

That is my guess too, this bellhousing has 5 medium size holes covered in heavy screen , very unusual. Thanks, Guy

I too wish I would have looked at these sooner. The third topic solved my tach and alternator problem by connecting the wires per the diagram. A big THANK YOU, from BigG.

They were probably under the wood blocks where the frame curves down toward the back. I just finished installing new hardwood blocks, that I made, on my truck to level the bed and also raise it to accept the freshly rechromed rear bumper so the tailgate doesn't rub. BigG I cut the blocks on an angle...

Did you use a proportioning valve? I did this conversion and have very little pedal, can anyone help. ( all drums, no booster, two split lines , nothing else) am I missing something? Thanks for the help BigG

Thanks for the tip to use Easy Off to remove the anodized finish on alum. trim , I sure hope it makes cut and polish easier. BigG

My 66 had a slant 6 with 3.55 gears, it now has a 440 w/ 3.23 gears BigG
