A Couple of Sweptlines I have Run Across Recently
The yellow one Rogersville, AL, about a block south of 72 on 101. The Blue one is in Talco, TX, and I had a real good conversation with the owner of it. Both were in really solid shape - the yellow appears to still be in use.

Re: An old one of me, a fish, and the truck
I do not know any Sinclair's of Fuquay's around here, but I know many of the Reeves in this area. I have family down in the Carthage area as well, so I am down there from time to time. I am lucky to have the truck, and to be making some progress on it again.

Windshield Wiper Help
I am getting close to having the '69 back on the road, but to pass inspection here in Texas, the windshield wipers have to be functional. I tried them out this weekend, and when I turned on the switch, the arms moved about 1/4" and froze. I left the switch on, and was going to move them by hand and ...

I Had to Stop and Ask
I was driving by and saw this one this past weekend, and had to stop and ask about it. The man that answered the door turned out to be the owner, and bought it new in 1970 at a local dealership. Unfortunately for me, it was not for sale. He has recently given it to his grandson, who was born the sam...

Horn Ring Removal '69 D100
I have been absent from the forum for a while, but am finally getting back to work on my truck and I need some advice. My horn went from working on occasion, to not working at all. The horn will sound when you put electricity directly to it, the fuse is good, so I figure it either has to be wiring b...

Re: What am I looking At? - Picture Heavy
I am making some good progress the last few weeks on the old truck, so thought I would post a few pictures of the work I am getting done. http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a525/MyPowerWagon/Rust3_19_14_zpsdb5f0d69.jpg http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a525/MyPowerWagon/IMG_1924_zps528601e8.jpg h...

Re: Looking for Advice on My Shop
If you're inside, just take a DEEP BREATH and then you'll be able to close the door . Just kidding around :joker Jim I do have plenty of room on the sides, but I will not be able to close the doors on the shop and work on it - unless I want to crawl through the cab or roll under the truck to ...

Re: Looking for Advice on My Shop
I pulled the m201 in for a "test fit" last night, and it pretty much takes up every inch of space I have in the shop. It is certainly not ideal, but it will work - it is much better than what I had before (working outside)! I am going to go ahead and finish the ceiling and the lights, but I just wan...

Re: Looking for Advice on My Shop
Thanks! I pulled it off of an old barn that I had to tear down - figured I would put it to good use. I am happy with the way it looks - for 100+ year old siding.Txas2step wrote:Cool looking old t117 teardrop siding you have there.

Re: Looking for Advice on My Shop
Even though I have not been able to spend much time here on the forum lately, I have made some progress on my shop. I have wired in the 220, added wiring for the new lights, added a door to the West wall that goes into a lean to on the side of the barn that I will use for "bulk" storage, and I have ...

Re: An old one of me, a fish, and the truck
I had a Plum Crazy Challenger and a 69 Runner after that. If I had been smart, I'd have kept them all! Love the old pics. Is that your family in your avitar? Scott That is my family in the Avitar- most of them anyway, I guess my mom was taking the picture. The man on the right is my Dad, and that i...

Re: An old one of me, a fish, and the truck
Thanks John! While I do not remember the car, there is a good chance it was a big Chrysler. My granddad was a big Chrysler fan, and used to drive the 140 miles to Dallas to buy a new one, because there was not a Chrysler dealer here in town. Scott - that is a pretty sweet collection for a HS senior ...

Thanks. I would have been 4 at the time, and my granddad would have been 68.

While mine fell out and I do not have pictures, my '69 had ribbed cardboard in J channel as WD had stated.
