Re: What am I looking At? - Picture Heavy

Well, the weather cooperated and I got it to the house, and I got to drive the '69 D100 this weekend too, so all in all it was a good weekend. The trip over and back went nice and smooth, and loading it on the trailer was about as easy as I could have hoped for. We were expecting to have to use the ...

Re: What am I looking At? - Picture Heavy

In a sure sign that I was not supposed to buy another project, I woke up this morning to the hot water heater in the house being out. It is always a bad way to start the day to step in water in the hall. I thought you'd 'be in hot water' for for buying the M. Drag it turned out literally to be true...

Re: factory winch bumber

The M201 I am sure is factory correct - I am not certain on the '66 Power Wagon, although the Braden PTO winch looks correct to the frame. Not sure if these help you, but just thought I would add my :2cents

Re: What am I looking At? - Picture Heavy

Snowed here overnight. I need hay for the mini horse so the 2wd Ranger and I will be heading out in a bit. Haven't heard a single vehicle go by the house since the sleet/ice started last night. I used to "barefoot it" (no chains) across mountain passes in the Cascades in an 8 axle Peterbilt combo.....

Re: What am I looking At? - Picture Heavy

You've caught up to me... 69 D100, 49 1/2 ton and a motorhome to your 69, 66 and M201 (according to the data plate). And a crappy old Chevy truck each... You do know you're now officially cursed, right... yea, I am afraid the curse has found me. I also have a Durango that is my daily dr...

Re: What am I looking At? - Picture Heavy

You did very well in my opinion. Looks like a 318 or 360 4bbl sitting in the truck. :Thumbsup For a running and moving 1961 M37 with the complete winch AND vehicle title, you scored big time. :Thumbsup :Thumbsup You can winch that old hot water tank out of the house now. :clap John[/quote] :lo...

Re: What am I looking at?

A few more pictures. The truck moves under its own power, and I should be able to drive it onto the trailer - much better than the last power wagon I bought

Re: What am I looking at?

Well, I think I am in love - I seem to be catching a serious case of Dodge fever - does anyone know a cure? I bought it, it will probably be the firs tof the year before I get it to the house. He did indeed have the title - the truck was inspected and registered as late as 2009 - since then he has j...

Re: What am I looking at?

I am taking a long lunch today, and going to run out and look at the truck. I don't think it is reasonable to keep it, but I do think it is something that, if in the shape I am told it is in, is reasonable to pick up, and get into the right hands. I am going to try and take plenty of pictures today,...

Re: What am I looking at?

:goodpost John, Thanks for the heads up on Paul and on Gordon, The more I have thought about it, the more I think I am leaning towards either directing someone to the current owner, or just picking it up long enough to get it into the hands of someone who can do it justice. I am going to go look at ...

Re: What am I looking at?

Walley - I completly agree. If I pick it up, it will be at the expense of the '66 I just picked up. I will not keep both of them - just want to look at the options, and see which one I want more. I am not familiar at all with the Power Wagons, I just know I have always liked them. So trying to gathe...

Re: What am I looking at?

I do not know the owner, but I do know that the owner is dying of cancer, and is just trying to clean things up before he dies, so his kids don't have to mess with it. A family friend is helping him with the clean up, and has already hauled off $10k worth of scrap metal - I hate to see this truck be...

What am I looking At? - Picture Heavy

I ran across a guy looking to sell this - I have not been out to see it in person, and these are the only pictures I have seen of it. I am told it is running, and will move on its own power to load it onto a trailer. The question is, what is it, and what would you guys be willing to pay for it? (the...

Hesitation and Blow By

Well, it seems like I fix one problem, only to have two more pop up – but that is not unexpected as much as my truck has sat over the last 10 years. :pale I will start by listing what I have done to the truck lately, and then get into the problems and see what advice all of you have. To start, the t...

Re: Hood Mounted Turn Signal

Any thoughts on a different penetrant that might work better? Kroil is probably the BEST penetrant that I have ever used. It stinks though... http://www.kanolabs.com/ Thanks Jim. Stinky I can handle, as long as it works. I will see if I can find it locally :thinking , if not, I will order some and ...
