Re: Engine Bay Decals

Mark, Haven't run across a big block 2bbl Heavy Duty Oil Bath Air Cleaner during my search for the air cleaner maintenance label. Looking at the parts catalog available on this site the air cleaner part number is 2658385 found in catalog section 14-29-2. You, peaked my interest on the label oriente...

I would run jumper from + terminal of battery to the ballast resister (correct side) . Use screwdriver across starter terminals to crank.

Bucky
Easiest way to do this, too easy.

Re: Neutral switch wiring

Typically the wire from the transmission goes to the starter relay, it is the ground side, the power to the relay comes from the key. So the starter relay has two open points in the circuit that need to be closed to complete the circuit. When you put the transmission in either park or neutral it gro...

Re: YOM License Plates

In California it is $10 more on top of the normal fees with no restrictions. If you use a set of plates for a 1968 then they are forever a 1968 plate, cannot be transferred to a different year. The nice thing in California is the YOM goes through 1972 on the trucks where on the cars it is 1969. Alan

Re: Radiator hoses 383

Are you asking for hoses for a 440? and not a 383?, I'm not sure these trucks ever came with a 440 originally.

Like others have said, hoses for a 383 should be readily available.

Re: rear bumper colour

Local cop gave a guy a ticket for an "obstructed lic plate" when he had a ball hitch in that center hole in front of the plate. What a crock, but found out that's the efn law here! Then u get all the gay girlie men with their POS bike carriers and such that totally block the plates, driving all ove...

Re: rear bumper colour

This was mine after a fresh coat of silver paint, I also painted the receiver and loops black at the same time. I also replaced the plate lights with NOS ones and swapped out the trailer plug. The license plate mounted a little high for me so I got a 6" x 12" aluminum plate and drilled holes in the ...

Even before the internet it didn't take long for people that knew me to start calling me Mr. Mopar as they knew I was into Mo...

Re: prop valve locations?

PropValve2.JPG The original line was removed from the hose and rebent to the rear and connected to the valve. The new tube was bent up over the valve along the frame and then to the hose (bend is horizontal so unseen) The c-clamp was to be temporary but has been there for years, valve holds itself ...

Re: prop valve locations?

I'll have to get a picture but I mounted mine at the rear, I didn't want to cut and re flair the lines and the front wasn't practical. All I needed was a jumper tube and a premade one was used.
