Re: NP435 big block bellhousing help
I found Brewers has used ones listed over $400 but they are out. They did not say if they were hydraulic or not. There is an older bellhousing on eBay for 699!!! I could just buy an entire truck and swap trannies for that kind of money! Thanks guys!

Re: 440 ?
I did this swap and the RV manifolds I had did not fit on the drivers side. Hopefully you won't have that issue. I used motor mounts from a late seventies big block truck and the RV pan worked perfect. Good luck!

NP435 big block bellhousing help
Switched my 70 d100 from /6 np435 to a 440/727. I would like to collect the parts to put the 4spd back in it. What can I use? I'm not sure if I could use an older bellhousing even though it has the middle engine mounts and also are all the big block combos a hydraulic clutch? I was hoping I could us...

Re: 360 intake removal
BE VERY CAREFUL NOT to pry against the timing chain cover!!!
It is aluminum and very thin on the top and will break, dont ask how I know this!
I pry between the head and the intake right in the front after I triple check to make sure there are no bolts left.
good luck
Joe

Re: 440 engine swap
I just finished my /6 to 440 swap this summer. I used 1976 or 77 big block truck motor mounts from a truck in the junk yard. I kept the slant six rubber isolaters and they bolted up to the mounts. I also took all the brackets for the alternator and power steering and trans throttle pressure. I got a...

Re: Mirror Posts...Going Price
I sold a set at Carlisle last summer for $70. I had blasted them and painted them white and included the hardware.

Re: motor mounts
found this in my searches, this post claims to have used 75 motor home mounts. I would assume then that the latter big block truck mounts will probably work.

Re: motor mounts
I have a slant six in my truck and want to install a 440 this winter. I was also wondering about mounts. I found mounts at the junkyard out of a late seventies big block truck but I am not sure if they will work. Schumacher shows their mounts for sweptlines are different from 72 and up. What is the ...

Re: made it .. carlilse was good..
It was great to see your truck and talk to you. Thanks for the info on your 4 speed swap. You picked a good year to be inside, never had it rain like that before, did you see the "slow no wake" sign in the swap meet area?? Who carries a sign like that around. Funny  Joe
