Re: Trip down memory lane
Hi Clayton
Great pics of your past trucks...they look really cool mate. Remember those vent frames you sent over to the U.K. for me for my truck
did they come from one of the trucks in the pics?
Hope you are keeping well.

:goodpost You have a good point there David, the fading factor!, sunshine and regular washes, not that we get anywhere near as much sun as you do but the washing is very often. I mean't to say in my last post that i thought :idea the satin black would be an easier job for myself to do as it is not gl...

Re: My 70 D100
your probably right mate iv'e thought of a few colour's to paint it, but i agree with you and my wife the red and cream look's nice.
I'm having second thoughts now so don't be surprised if i keep the same colour's.

Re: My 70 D100
Yeah! as you know we love American motors over here even tho our road's are narrower than in the state's. We never have any problem's with the size we just adapt,we have load's of the Jap pickup's like yourselve's i would say my truck is 6-8" wider but that's fine. My mate has got a beautiful 68 Dod...

That has completely transformed that wheel look's nice with that white pinstripe tyre.
What are you going to do now are you going to put some dogdish hubcap's on or put a nice shiny aluminium centre cap on? would look nice either way mate.
Keep up the good work.

Re: My 70 D100
This engine could do with a clean up,it sounds great but them S U carbs that sit on top take some tuning up, i could convert to Holley or Edlebrock but that is'nt cheap so i will leave it as is for now. These engine's are pretty much sort after nowaday's with kitcar builder's it is a really nice set...

Re: My 70 D100
Hey Clayton! Good to hear from you, so at last i have some pic's on the website, now and again a slant 6 will turn up but not very often 318's are more easier to get as they are put into a wider range of Dodge. This Rover 3500 engine is a Buick engine with the changes that Rover made to it,it really...

Re: My 70 D100
This truck used to belong to U.S.A.F. it probably spent most of it's time in Oxfordshire or in Suffolk/ Norfolk area's at U.S.airforce base's.
The slant 6 has long gone it is now powered by a smallblock Rover V8 ,it sound's nice and it is pretty quick.
