Re: Smokey in a Swepty

[Do you have any proof that the factory ever installed these beds on 100/200 series trucks?] No proof that the factory installed these beds but I have seen a couple for sale over the years and a friend of mine has a bed to one. There is a W300 SRW for sale now that has the flat rear fenders, apparen...

Re: Smokey in a Swepty

that is a rare SRW flat fender type bed that factory installed on just a few D/W 100/200 Sweptlines. Notice it has a center stake pocket like a 9ft 300 bed would have.

Cool, must be a Power Wagon as well.

Re: 1965 Crew cab

if it is rust free and straight like it looks, $4k is a great price running or not.

Mechanicals are so much easier than fixing a wasted body.

Re: 1966 W300 Chinook

the specs on it are bugs and butterflies from the road trip. :>) it is going to need some ceiling repair, and it stinks like caca due to being a squirrel den, I cleaned it pretty good last night....needs Clorox. 318-3 Poly, NP 435, NP201 w/LU2 PTO winch, 4.88s, Warn Hubs, Firestone 16.5 tubeless whe...

Re: 1965 crew cab dully hpp

so the original rear axle being a 6 lug D60 would have been sourced from the Power Giant era D200, correct?

love the one off trucks.

Re: 1965 crew cab dully hpp

I don't have any pics of the under hood insulation, but I will take some if it helps. It has held up surprisingly well, I used some spray adhesive many years ago to keep it in place where it needed help.

Re: 1965 crew cab dully hpp

my PW300CC has the underside of hood insulated as well, hard to describe what the material is made of....factory I believe. All of the W300CC I have owned or seen with a stretched frame used rivets and was doubled up, way easier for the factory (or anybody) to stretch the straight chassis of the 300...

Re: 1965 crew cab dully hpp

pondering the frame stretch....use of bolts instead of rivets, and the weld leads me to believe stretched outside the factory....unless the bolts said DPCD on them...

no big deal either way, the truck is awesome and super rare...very unusual....one of a kind.

Re: 1965 crew cab dully hpp

I am not sure that the factory would have sent frames out to be stretched.....the trucks were likely already assembled in the stock configuration, 146" wb, and the stretch was done in house. I had at least on LWB W200CC, but cannot remember the details of how it was stretched. It did have a SERT num...

that is interesting on the use of 6 lug axles from a D300....missed that comment earlier.
