Re: Okay... (Damage photos up!)

Welcome and best of luck to you!! My ex-wife was driving down the road when someone backed out right in front of her and did extensive damage to the front of our car. Well, the other person's insurance was just going to total out our car and pay us some low-ball amount. I went through the newspaper...

Re: Okay... (Damage photos up!)

Wow, great thread. Back when I was doing theater I'd work at a friend's shop in San Francisco during the summers. There were three women mechanics, and they were the best. You are clearly very bright and articulate! Sorry to read about your truck, but I sense that you have a great future. Well than...

Re: winter is here

I'd hate to be living where there is that much snow on the ground already... Must be a pain in the @#% to start her up in the below freezing temps. I know mine was... And even in the heat, it took her about 15 mins to warm up.

Re: Okay... (Damage photos up!)

My 64 dodge truck was rear ended by some drunk ten years ago.I had to put the bed of a 1960 ford truck on it,could not find an old dodge bed and newer beds looked bad on the old truck. The two front fenders came from a 1967 two ton truck. The front bumper from a 1975 dodge truck and made to fit,Bumpe...

Perhaps. But its not just a few bends. You'd never get the bed to align... And the cab was crushed.

Moving down to Branson Missouri. Close to Hollister. I've got some plans down there.

And my boss told everyone down there that I quit cause he didn't want to call me in for work. So, I went in there and quit for good.

Update: :2cents

Lost my job due to some BS... Which was some BS.

But, I'm moving. So hopefully I'll be able to get me a job to help pay for school. :dance

Anyways, just thought I'd let you all know... I'm not working Greaserama next year, but I AM going :) I can't wait.

Re: Icky Ford Dual fuel tanks...

Alright... Update. The fuel system... Front tank has a leak in it... There is a hole in it somewhere we can't see. So, I need to replace it. While I'm at it, I might as well do the rear, and all the lines too. That way I'm sure there won't be any problems with it in the future. That's what was wrong...

Re: Okay... (Damage photos up!)

how disappointing, that truck was still in pretty good shape and would have made a great donor for a straight frame...even the damage to the bed was minimal compared to what I have seen other people fix. all those great parts smashed into a Toyota or a microwave... Dman, The frame was bent. And cru...

Re: Icky Ford Dual fuel tanks...

Yep! Working on a truck beats playing with Barbie dolls doesn't it?   Mike You're talking to the girl who used to chop off all their hair, dismember them, peel the "skin" (plastic layers) off, one layer at a time, and then staple the bodies to the wall, and flush the heads down the ...

Re: 1964 D200 "Big Daddy"

The door latches were the same on my truck too. Had to lift up on the door, open it, then lift up on it to close it. The driver door especially. Only, I had to take a flathead and turn the gear that kept the door shut, otherwise if I tried to turn right, the door would fly open while I was driving.....

update: Still haven't gotten to the fuel system yet. Fixed the radiator... Trying to figure out what's up with the motor being out of tune... Replaced some vacuum hoses, and bled the brakes. Changed the oil, and now I'm working on keeping her running and making sure she's fine to drive long distance...

I hate computers... part of the reason I prefer the older cars... They were great cars until they messed 'em up by putting those pieces of crap in 'em. Good thing my dad is the IT guy... I'd probably throw a fit and use a hammer on 'em.

Re: Icky Ford Dual fuel tanks...

Alright... I haven't been working on the fuel issue lately... My main concern has been the Radiator... Which also turned into flushing the transmission... I'm going to have to go get that done because I don't have the right tools. I don't know anything about the gas, or why it's acting up... I have ...

Re: Icky Ford Dual fuel tanks...

Both are on the drivers side. I've got one right beside the cab, and the other behind the wheel well. Is there a line running from one tank to the other? It almost sounds, by your description, that, as you use off one tank, it is siphoning gas from the other. :thinking John I don't know how it woul...
