Guys
Yes it is a poly 318. The valve covers are scalloped and have the bolts on the ends.
I am more wondering if it actually a 318 but I cannot find the casting number on any references.

Eric,
Sorry for your loss, I could not imagine a day without my three. Best of luck to you in your build. A lasting tribute for sure.

Cris,
Not sure of the proper color for it. The white that is on it now is very dingy, just looks bright cause I washed it for once...

Powerman,
Funny thing is...I grew up and went to school in Ronan. I found this truck while I was living in TN and had is shipped to me.
Spent most of my life in the Ronan and Polson area and never saw this truck ever.

Re: 318 Poly to ???
Guys, Thanks again for all the information. One more...does it matter what year of engine I get, as long as it is not EFI or anything of that nature. I am planning on putting on a new manifold and carb anyway to dress it up and new valve covers. So does it matter if I get a 70's or 80's model 318?

Re: Newbie 1966 dodge d200
Best bet for shipping is Uship.com You can find all kinds of people on there willing to hot shot stuff. If the vehicle is by a major highway for pickup and drop off you can try one of the major carriers, just look up auto shipping on line and there are a ton. That will be a long haul so be prepared ...

Re: 318 Poly to ???
Guys, Thanks for all the excellent information, this is all news to me. My plan was to go with another intake manifold, new 4bbl carb and valve covers. With this I would also probably replace the water and fuel pump. With all the different designs of the carbs, (push/pull, vacuum and all that) what ...

Re: 318 Poly to ???
Earl, thanks that is what I needed to know. I have found a 318 V8 out of a 89 Dodge 2500 van. Not a bad price on it either. Just might have to get me one soon I guess.
thanks again

318 Poly to ???
Guys and Gals, I have a 318 Poly that I was going to do some upgrades to but being behind the power curve I have now found after some research that finding upgrades for the Poly 318 is quite difficult and very expensive. I was wanting to put on a 4 barrel intake, new valve covers, maybe a rebuild ki...

Re: Frame/Body Swap Opinions
I already have a D200 converted to a W200. I am unsure if it was an upgrade or a frame/body swap. This is just something that I have been considering, probably never gonna happen. I was just more wondering what vehicles would make the best candidates for a frame/body swap for a 1964 D200(W) Crew Cab.

Re: Frame/Body Swap Opinions
Sorry I kind of left myself open for that one..."easiest" is a relative term. It would be more "effective" for me to do a body swap..how is that??
Also, would it be more efficient for space in the engine bay to go with a gas or diesel engine?

Frame/Body Swap Opinions
Guys and Gals, I know that this subject has been approached a couple times and I have looked at some of the previous "frame swap" posts. This is what I pose to all you swepty heads out there. I want to go diesel on my 1964 D200 (converted to W). I really think that the easiest way for me to go is to...

Love the color, that is exactly how I would like mine to be done, all black with just a small touch of chrome and maybe some light red on the trim

Re: **Photoshop Needed** 1964 D200 Crew Cab
Guys, Thanks for the info and the links to the lowering topics. I am kinda with you on the suggestion PWJ, I think I might just start looking for a 2wd D200, non-crew though. I like the truck lifted, I mean there is not one other truck like it anywhere around me and I get looks and people taking pic...

1964 D200 Clutch Return
Guys, Technical help needed here. I have a 1964 D200 with a hydraulic Clutch. I was researching on the site after my clutch return spring was causing my clutch pedal to stick to the floor. Yes, it is the spring causing this as I disconnected the pedal from the master cylinder and it still does it wi...
