Re: Got this one Thursday
Go ahead and tub it but 19.5s are kinda narrow, think about 22.5s and I think the M/Ts will hold up better than my Hoosiers. Crate Hemi (426) and a Clutchflite now you're talking!

D100 wheel question
I am a former W200 guy so my D100 knowledge is limited. Will 14" mags fit on the front over the drums?
Thanks in advance,

Re: One wire alternator
So I grabbed an alternator off the shelf instead of taking the one off the truck. turns out I grabbed a three wire off a newer truck but I'm sure a two wire is no problem. Key off 12.6v and with it running 14.2 I'm gonna say the job is done.

Re: One wire alternator
I've got my stock alternator into a shop that specializes in automotive electrical to convert it. They add a regulator to the alternator and it's one wire to positive battery. I'm gonna run a new 10 gauge to the starter relay and the existing wires are taped off or removed. My signal wire (key hot f...

Re: Stolen parts in Tacoma, WA - CL ad w/pics of theif!
I'll keep an eye open for the truck that's the first thing to spot. A while back this ole boy not far from me at four in the morning heard these tweekers hammering a lock off his shipping container He capped the both of them, woman lived, dude didn't I thought METH was going to be the protocol to pu...

One wire alternator
As all of you have experienced this, the wiring is butchered on this 68 I just got. It seems to be isolated to the charging system, wrong alternator, voltage regulator I have never seen before, and the hot wire from the ignition switch is melted. All that being said I'm thinking now is the time for ...

Re: Kickdown linkage
So I can steal my own thread, right? On the rat truck the slotted piece is about 4" long, it and the rod to the tranny meet at a common point on a pivot. On a 77 Power Wagon I use to mud race (440/727) with simular kickdown linkage and I had replaced the slotted piece with an adjustable rod thus all...

Re: Kickdown linkage
The linkage from the carb to the trans is what the trans uses to raise the line pressure in conjunction with the amount of throttle you are inputting. The amount of throw at the carb must be approximately the same as it is at the trans or the correlation between throttle opening and line boost will...

Re: Kickdown linkage
If you had the tranny cooler lines plugged off the lack of flow was probably starving something to do with the upshift. I believe the kickdown has something to do with the same. There is also an adjustment for the kickdown on the side of the tranny that I believe preloads a valve. I am not a tranny ...

Dude, l got a chebby buddy with a fab shop doing Harley stuff. Where it gets stupid is if someone paid in advance their job got pushed back for one that would bring more money to finish paying the bills. Killer fabricator but could not quote a job that didn't hand him A$$. I love the guy like a brot...

Re: Kickdown linkage
On previous TF727 equipped trucks the linkage was like the slotted but no slot. The longer or shorter you made it it changed the up/down shift. From shifting early and soft like a New yorker or holds a gear longer and bangs the next gear like a drag car. This is the first I have dealt with that has ...
