Re: 1965 D100 Town Wagon - Right Hand Drive
Cool truck. IMO Right hand drive is a novelty that people might like to look at, but might not want to own. Can make it hard to find parts if something like the steering box goes bad. The /6 is cool with all the speed parts, but buyers might prefer a V8. I can't remember seeing a townie with the swe...

Re: 6 pack or dual quads
I bought a P600 2x3 complete with rebuilt carbs and linkage for $1200 on ebay. They aren't common, but if you watch they do come up every once in a while. $300 for that manifold on ebay now is a good deal.

Re: How can you tell a dude from a regular d100
Huge difference between V-code Charger R/T, 71-E body mopar, pre-war street rods and sweptline pickups. Some of those vehicles have a collector car market that creates demand, and one of them doesn't.

Re: How can you tell a dude from a regular d100
There is some stuff on the internet about the Dude's being produced at the same time and you can tell by the vin numbers being within a certain range, but I'm not sure I believe it. Nothing in the vin or door tags to say it's a Dude. The Dude decals are being reproduced, but I think that's a relativ...

I would say $8k also. Cool truck, good condition, AC is a +, no real demand to create a premium price.

Re: 1969 D100 Dash Differences
I had a late truck with an early dash before. I didn't put it in there, got it like that. There were gaps between the dash and windshield in the corners where the windshield curves around. Not terrible, maybe 1/2-3/4 inch at the largest part, you didn't really notice unless you looked right at it. E...

Re: 66 CSS value?
From what I remember the CSS parts all looked good. Truck was a little rough, but not terrible. Seems like there might have been a title issue?? I'd like it better at $900-1200

Really need pictures to tell. Heavily oxidized red longbed? There was one on CL for a while that wasn't selling.

Re: Need opinions
IMO, these trucks aren't "collectible" like the muscle cars of the era. I wouldn't expect there to me much loss in value. Go ahead and swap it. It's not as easy as you may think though. If it were a factory HPP, I'd tell you differently, but it's not. Here's a big block shortbed that I'm betting won...

Re: How about these tires for stock restoration
I like those if you're going for a true stock appearance and are willing to give up a little bit in ride quality.
I don't think white walls were a thing till very late 60's and more into the 70's, even then you wouldn't have seen them on trucks in that time.

Re: Vickie rims
Looks like the Mustang guys refer to them as "bullitt" wheels. OEM in 17" and aftermarket in 18". I agree, you may need 16"+ wheels to clear the CV brakes. http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Take-Off-OEM-Mustang-GT-Wheel-05-05-07-08-09-Dark-Argent-Bullitt-7R3Z1007E-/251737377363 http://www.ebay.com/itm/199...

Re: Vickie rims
The Crown Vic is pretty wide. Even if you were able to change the bolt pattern I'd bet they wouldn't fit. You'll need the negative offset wheels off the CV. Here's one on ebay with a CV installed. Take a look at the track width in the 4th picture. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dodge-Other-Pickups-Sweptlin...

Re: Short truck conversion
Even if you shorten the front (the only option) the body line will not match up between the bed and the cab.

Re: Short truck conversion
IMO, it's basically impossible to shorten a long bed and have it look good. The distinctive "sweptline" body line does not allow for shortening the bed like people do to chevys. I've only seen one that looked anywhere close to good and the amount of hours put into it you would save by just looking f...
