For those who own Factory AC trucks we all know it is impossible to find a heater core (no longer made). Got it out with 2 round head crow bars placed on ring gear bolt heads and against case. top and bottom.

Getting carrier out of 44F case?

Got a 71 W100 with 44 Front Axle parts truck that I can't get the carrier out of the case. Cups are off ,axles pull. PB blasted it for two days. FSM syas pry with screwdriver :joker Any tricks?

Has it been cranked over any in this 6 yr period? Was it ever ran before? The main thing that I would be concerned with is valve springs. Some have been compressed (to varying degrees) this whole time, others have not. Also valve stem seals may be dried. I'd use a drill and prime the oil pump, add ...

I have a "fresh" rebuilt 440 That has been wrapped up for at least 6 years, just wondering what should be checked and replaced after sitting for so long.

You actually don't have to cut them. You heat them up until the post portion frees from the base and turn it to where you want it. The L and R mirrors are made with the same parts. Since the grille is anodized aluminum and the bumper is chrome plated, I'm not sure why you are referring to paint. Bigdad stripped the anodizing from his grille and polished it with steel wool with good results. You may want to clear coat after this. Someone else recommended something in the last ...
