Re: What is this?...(pics)

I'll try that, to test a relay, just do a continuity test between the blades?
also where is it located on the a100 vans? i see 2 in fuse box but its not marked.

Re: What is this?...(pics)

I can start it with a screwdriver jumping the starter, but with the key, nothing. I got a couple ideas from this forum, like check the neutral switch and maybe a new ignition key switch??? i'll probably do that tomorrow.

Shes a nice van and its shame not to drive.

Re: What is this?...(pics)

Kinda looks like the conversion 12 volt regulator on my friend's 53 GMC with a 292 stovebolt 6 and early Delco alternator. They work, not the prettiest part in the world, not a "perfect" replacement for anything since they are generic. I think you can actually still get those new. can i temporarily...

Re: what is this?...(pics)

can i temporarily bypass and connect those two wires? would a problem inside, keep the van from starting? and if i need it, do i just ask for a ''universal'' voltage regulator at autozone? (its not factory stock i assume)
thanks again

Do you know where it would be on a a100 van 318, in the fuse box?

Re: headlight relay or any relay explanation

Is a ballast resistor sort of like a ignition coil relay? can you go to parts store and ask for a relay? I mean, is it like a small box that you plug both connections into?
Thanks.
