68' W-300 Info request
Have a '68 W-300 that's going to need a front brake job soon. I know these trucks have a front brake setup similar to a Power Wagon and M-37. I know the drums are different but are the shoes and backing plates the same?

Part # needed
Anybody know the part numbers of the wheel bearings and races for a 1968 W-300 with Dana 70. Also a source for the front spring eye bushings, bolts and shackles.

Starter grinding noise
About every 10th time or so; when I go to start my '68 W-300 with 318 engine, I get a grinding noise and the engine does not turn over. It will do this once, twice maybe 3 times then start as normal. All the other times I get a normal start - no noise. I figured the flywheel had a broken or damaged ...

Re: W-300 Electrical Help
From another forum the relay is CC # 2906336 and the 15 amp breaker is CC # 1540427. OEM breakers are around 8-10 dollars however the relays are pricey around 75 dollars. I'll just go with a replacement relay and make up an adapter with some Sta-Con's.
Thanks for the info and help.

Re: W-300 Electrical Help
I have an original '68 Dodge truck manual ( not the full truck manual but the '68 supplement ) and both the relay and circuit breaker are shown along with a note that they were standard only on W-300 and D-300 models. I guess because of the extra clearance lights used. Can't get a picture because I ...

W-300 Electrical Help
Have a '68 W-300. Rear lights are not working. Traced problem to the circuit breaker and relay mounted by driver's left leg and air vent control. Anybody know the size of the breaker? How about a part number for the relay? I know I can get a generic relay that will work but the connector to this rel...

Re: W-300 Head Light Switch
Yes, there was a button. Pushing it in allowed the shaft with knob to come out of the switch. Thanks for the tip.

W-300 Head Light Switch
Need to remove the head light switch on my '68 W-300 but can't get the knob off. Any body know how it's held on? I don't want to break the knob taking it off.
