np420 help

OK, I just was given a 225 slant six bolted to a NP420(out of a 63 D100). I was told the trans prob needed a rebuild due to grinding gears. But I am going to assume the former driver didn't know about the non synchronized gears. the stuff is still sitting in my pickup bed right now, and I am thinkin...

Re: Looking for Front axle

it looks like he is going to the dark side. He is putting an axle out of a late 50's ford under it. Sorry to bother everyone. Thanks for the help though

Looking for Front axle

I have a friend looking for a front straight axle for his 1/2 ton swepty, 63 step side orginally with a slant 6, but he is tossing that for a 413 big block. Anything around the Washington state area would help a ton.

Thanks

Re: New members joining

I am a new one and am hooked as well. I picked up my 68 Power Wagon, and I can say that the "newness" has worn off. I realized I need to replace the cab, the bed, and the fenders, and front diff. I finally realized it will be regulated to a parts car. But it revived my old love of the Power Wagons, ...

Re: HUMVEE tires/wheels

OK, I finally have had a little time to focus on the Power Wagon, but soon I will be focused on the Polara for a while. The Humvee tires fit pretty well on my truck, stock height so far. I only have one issue to this point. Left turns, the outside of the right tire rubs on the fender. The only reaso...

Who wired my truck?!?!

OK, I am mainly posting this to vent, but I'm also posting this as a warning. People do some weird stuff to vehicles. It all starts off innocently enough, with a 1968 W200 Power Wagon. I acquired this puppy back in December and started looking for info, that’s when I came across this site. Im glad y...

Re: New Here, 68 D200 Power Wagon

I found out quickly about the starter. Had to replace it last week, and first I went to my shelf of extra big block starters. that first bolt went in fine, then I learned the issue. A quick trip to Carquest and $90 later I now have a new starter

Re: car clubs

I just joined the local MoPar club. It seems to be pretty small and low key, but should be plenty fun. http://allaroundmopars.com/ Hopefully I should see you soon, I belong to Mopars Unlimited, Tacoma Chapter and we do a few cruises a year with your club. Im also up at Bremerton Raceway alot during...

WOW, a line lock that was intalled at the factory! These trucks are amazing. I do know that on my 68, the T-Case does have neutrual. So I am betting after hearing from you guys thats how it operates. Hopefully soon I will get to work on this truck, still in the mode of preparing the GMC for sale.

Re: HUMVEE tires/wheels

So I am correct to understand that with a W200 I will need to lift the truck to fit the H1 bias tires?

Re: New Here, 68 D200 Power Wagon

Already learning... W200, got it. The drive home today I was wondering why I bought this rig, about halfways home I was giddy. This truck with the 4 speed is a blast to drive! Tommorow I plan on removing the air horns, truck box, and C.B radio from my GMC and placing them on the Power Wagon. I also ...
