Re: why wont the brakes hold fluid

Ok I will check that, as there is not pressure in the systems, both brake and clutch masters are having the problem, so I guess I will be replacing them againfun and games for me

Re: why wont the brakes hold fluid

Hate to sound ignorant, but "Bench Bleeding" I was always taught never to add fluid until the hoses are connected. was the fat old man wrong on that one

Re: why wont the brakes hold fluid

The fluid seems to be leaking out somewhere, I think I may have to get a pro involved in this, it is close to being finished and I am getting impatient to get her back on the road

Re: why wont the brakes hold fluid

I replaced all the cylinders, it sat for fifteen years so I just figured that was easier. I had them full and bled, they seemed t hold until I let it sit overnightThe weeping is bad, but there does not seem to be enough leaking out to cause that problem

Re: Okay... This is pretty cool... But I've got questions...

Sorry to hear about your truck, I too have a 64 d200, my bad bought it new, but Las week I saw a 67 d200 slant six and 4 gear box, good frame but a lot of rust. It was in Council bluffs and drivable for a grand. I will check later to see if it is still there and let you know.

Re: rim interchange

The ford rims worked, they are a little looser on the hub than the widow makers, but they work, one down 197.85 problems left to solve :dance

64 d200

Can anyone tell me how to pull the rear drums off my 64 d200? I can not find where the adjusters are and seem to have figures out how to pull the axle, not what I wanted to do. Help, and if available pictures would help a lot :banghead

Re: A question about gear ratios, etc

I check my speedometer with my GPS, it seems to be a very accurate way of doing it, and I think that the automotive gps also have a built in speed over ground function, but I am using my Ifinder still.
