Re: Headlights pulsing when truck is at an idle
All these posts are good, gives you something to look for and may prevent more problems in the future... like a dead battery at 6A.M.'ish when you need to get to work.

Re: New Shifter ball idea
I put a (REAL) 8 ball on mine. I'd post pics but everyone knows what they look like. BUT, there were a lot of different style glass door knobs used during those times; I'd like to see a pic of it installed. Sounds cool.

Re: Headlights pulsing when truck is at an idle
couldn't hurt to check (I would), but it's normal for them to not be as bright at idle and get brighter when rpm's increase to a degree. But pulsing ... check grounds/connections and if all good check alternator voltage.

Re: Master Cylinder Drum Question...
:thinking I just had this problem on my truck, I looked underneath the dash and seen there was a rod that wasn't aligned properly so it was pushing on the side of it and not coming back up. You have to push the rod in (really hard to do on manual brakes after you bleed it :banghead and slip it where...

Re: a pic of my truck
I always thought those cabs looked like two welded together. As for the paint, those pesky seams are hard to completely rid of rust. Not bad holding up for ten years.

Re: Continued government control of our hobby.
If I can no longer drive an old car or truck because it pollutes, I would rather put catalytic converters on it and drive it then have it sitting in the garage and can't drive it. They're winning, unfortunately. It's just a matter of time.

Re: My... "new(?)" 1965 Dodge Truck
Decided to bring it home and try to work on it. If I work long hours on it I can't make loud noises because of my neighbor... only things separating my garage from his are two layers of drywall and 2X4's. Sucks, I have a lot of sanding to do but can only do it during the daytime. Oh and I found thir...

Re: My... "new(?)" 1965 Dodge Truck
Still no luck with the shift pattern. Dunno. A little explanation is in order on why my progress is slow... I live on an Air Force base. The only place I can work on the truck without getting in trouble by housing is at the automotive hobby shop. They are open on Saturday 10-7. Weekdays they are ope...

Re: My... "new(?)" 1965 Dodge Truck
I might have to do that. But, I don't even know what the shift pattern is; it may be that they're close together. I have never driven a vehicle with this trans before. It's a 3 speed according to the previous owner, and he said the gear is there somewhere. Hobcobble said it's either a NP420 or NP435...

Re: My... "new(?)" 1965 Dodge Truck
Not alot has happened on this truck, it resides at the automotive hobby shop at Kirtland Air Force Base. I can't work on it very long due to the hours of operation. I was also deployed to Iraq for 6 months so that didn't help much either, couldn't bring it with me. That would've been cool because I ...

Re: I had a dream/maybe nightmare, oh no not in Colorado
my stepdad had a '66 with a 352FE ci V-8, it was sweet. Very few american manufacturers made cars & trucks from that era that were crap. But yeah, funny dream. I bet you will see all kinds of 'other' trucks there, it's a major highway.

Re: Correct "White" for Grille and Bumpes..?
I'll be using Krylon gloss white that I bought at WalMart, it's not off-white but it's readily available and not real low quality. It seems to work well. It'll be a nice sharp contrast to the flat back I plan on using.

alot of people who own sweplines don't even have a computer, or they're not searching for a group to join. I never joined a forum for any kind of vehicle I've owned before, and I've owned over 25 cars in my life.
