Re: What engine do I have
Also, If I understand it correctly your stamped numbers mean: PM318R 30591934 PM = Plant Marysville, built at the Marysville engine plant (or Mound Rd?) 318 = Displacement R = Regular fuel 3059 = Build date December 12th, 1969? 1934 = Sequence number or the 1934th built that day However I've also se...

Re: Tolerable "cheap" mud tires...
I had a set of those on my Jeep before some upgrades/updates, never got a chance to truly test them, but they lower cost, rode well and looked to be a good choice. Glad they do the job. http://jeep.wawii.com/images/1993YJ/LiftLevel/DSC08111_YJ_2011-03-27_AfterNewBodyMounts.JPG http://jeep.wawii.com/...

Do the 70's trucks have a fusible link that powers everything except the starter? If so it might have blown.

Re: Help finding preformed carpet
Nope. I got the mass back one. It seemed like they had the carpet crooked when they molded it. I fabbed some aluminum trim pieces and you can't even tell now Ah that sucks! I could tell mine was molded cock-eyed on the 94 Ram, and yes both took some trimming. Well, Guess I'm not as thrilled as I'd ...

Re: Help finding preformed carpet
I assume you bought the lower cost Poly backed ACC carpet? I wish I'd bought the Mass Back for the Dakota I did as I'd love to see how much better it might have fit.

Re: Help finding preformed carpet
As for the ACC Carpets, I just fitted a Poly Backed one into an 04 Dakota, and the fit was very poor. I'm about to fit one in a 94 Ram, and based on how it looks resting out of the box I have no hope for it fitting any better. I hope/there Mass Backed floors are better fitting, I know they will be b...

Your NP435 sounds like the one I have/came in the 68 W200 Donor Truck, but I have a 10" Clutch. I've since switched to a Granny Gear Version NP435. IROK's tend to be a softer fast wearing rubber that is best suited for off road vehicles.

Re: two temperature sending units?
I assume you are referring to the black wire and sensor located near it in that photo? Was the engine originally equipped with an electronically controlled carburetor or other emissions equipment? In those cases the second sensor is for feeding the controls that information.

Trucks are normally rear sump, while cars were normally front sump. Where were you getting the info on needing a front sump for a truck?

Affordable Fuel Injection http://www.affordable-fuel-injection.com/ixxocart/catalog/Mopar-33-1.html It woke up my 1968 318 like you won't believe. MU2, that's off of a Dodge M37? If so and you got brackets as well that's a steal.
You should ask over at: http://www.dodgepowerwagon.com/wwwboard/index.html or http://www.g741.org/PHPBB/index.php
Paul in NY has likly done this for his diesel Powered M37, and I'm sure others have as well.

If you have to line up the input and output yokes, you have a drive line angle/alignment issue.
