Re: Need input on 1970 LCF C800

Single axle diesel, so CN800. If the truck is overall in good shape, runs, $3000 to $5000 value. Now if it needs work, that's where it gets questionable. Hard to say though without seeing pictures. Diesel's are definitely more desirable vs the gas models. If it was in really good shape with the dies...

4 Sweptlines at local show

Had a local show at an old race track here in Augusta today. We decided to take a few of the trucks out. left to right, 1970 D300, 1969 W300, 1970 D700 and 1969 D800. 1st show out for the D800 since it was restored to it's current configuration. Turnout wasn't as good as we we're hoping for the show...

Re: Fast an loud swepty episode!!

Didn't look bad when finished but maybe it's just me but the numbers they had on that truck just seemed inflated. It's a tv show, just skeptical of the whole deal the way it went down. I'm thinking it's more of a hey you build my truck I'll build your office type deal up front. "$50,000" for that tr...

Re: Fast an loud swepty episode!!

there was nothing good to say about the Dodge the entire time. You put a ford front axle and a chevy engine in a Dodge truck, come on now, Mopar's don't like subpar equipment installed. I liked the show up til this point was disappointed last night. I'm going to watch it next Monday just to see how ...

Re: What did this badge come from?

US truck. Dodge had the C800 and C900 and for whatever reason they decided to split them at build the C850, late 60's. Swing out fender trucks. Haven't seen many, honestly don't even remember exactly what the reasoning was. Engine or something.

Don't save like I use to but if I saw ads I use to save about everyone I saw with the larger Dodge trucks. Getting few and far between.

I thought this truck looked familiar. Looked through my pictures and here's a shot of it from back in '06 when somebody had it advertised for sale. 77 model, last year of them.

I almost drove up there this morning for the show, haven't made in since they moved to year one but with all the rain decided against it. Glad to hear it still had a decent turnout. Kyle

Re: Norm's Dodge forum

I use to stay on Norm's forum all the time. Sadly the activity continued to decrease and as I cut back some with the trucks, my activity there as well cut back. That being said, I checked it out after reading your post, it looks like he decided to stick around after all at least for awhile. Still ac...

Re: dodge diesel emblems, value?

It is a C series truck. So C800. The began with a single headlight, then went to 4 headlights on the late 60's then back to single headlights in the early 70's. They didn't put push button door handles on them. I see in the top pic it has a 70-71 marker light on the front fender. Let me correct you...

They were used into the late 60's, some even found on trucks as late as '72. Not sure on that 470 cu Cummins.

Re: dodge diesel emblems, value?

$30-40 is a fair offer on those emblems, we usually get a little more when we sale them but usually are in better shape. The truck itself, later than '68 as it's a single headlight, probably '68 or '69 based on the cab lights, probably either a 555 Cummins or maybe a 230 Cummins since it's a diesel....

Re: Cab roller

We had our metal fab guy build this for us awhile back when we started on this truck. Basically just a square tube frame with round tubing and flat stock to mount the wheels to. Round tubing with flat metal plates on top where the bolts go through the cab. Recommend if doing like this add a piece of...

Re: the '71 is headed towards canada

Cold Lake Alberta?? Is the new owner Ron Urlacher? He's a big-time collector of musclecars in Cold Lake. Ironically, I bought a 1968 D100 Utiline out of California back in 2007...when I lived in Cold Lake. The weirdest part of all of this is the fact that there is literally HUNDREDS of Dodge and Fa...

the '71 is headed towards canada

well, after 2 months of the new owner working out logistics and shipping, the '71 is finally headed north. picked up at lunch time today in one of those enclosed car trailers. if you see a pacific haulers truck headed west towards washington over the next few days, she might just be sleeping in that...
