needing a link to an old thread on this forum

Hey guys, it's been a long time since I posted. I have a harness, which adapts the ford power steering box to the sweptline frame. I am hoping someone will provide me with the link that has pictures of the entire installation. The link is about five or six years old, and I could not find it in the s...

Re: Power steering conversion

You might try the search feature. There are several threads regarding conversion using either a Toyota box or a Ford power steering box. These threads are excellent with either conversions giving super driving results. Gordo

seat replacement question

I am looking to replace my seat with different year or brand X. I have a 68 D 300 4 speed which the seat will go into. It is hard to find a original with decent price that is in good condition. Gas tank is being relocated under bed so not concerned for tight space. What have you found that "looks go...

Re: new to these trucks 1967 camper special crew cab what's

I don't need people talking to me like I'm an idiot. This isn't my first rodeo. I've dealt with all kinds of other older vehicles, mainly Mopar cars and Chevy trucks. I don't know anything about these trucks. I've tried doing research and can find very little about what they are going for, especial...

Real nice grille and "nearly nice" inserts..... $275-$350.... John John, good description to pricing. I have one that I figure to sell for 250.00 It come with extra plastic insert for minor repair on the plastic insert. Aluminum exceptional for age with dent that is difficult to see when installed....

Re: Checking in been a long time

Hi Hewy, really good to hear from you. As to vaue there was one on craigslist local that seemed to be a very good comp. It was advertized at 2,500.00 I felt it was a super purchase price. It probably could have been 3,500.00 and still very legitimately priced. Gordo

Re: Truck Value

Many of our Sweptline friends, whom are all very knowledgeable have offered opinions. I agree with the suggested values which were offered . I also agree comments made as to the weakness of the engine does decrease the value. Once the engine is completely rebuilt in a high quality rebuild, the value...

Re: Anyone near Twin Falls ID?

The reason it looks like the last foot or so needs to be shortened is because the wheelbase on as 64 is much shorter than on a 65 thru 71 8 foot sweptline. Gordo

Re: Anyone near Twin Falls ID?

Yes it sure does look that way. That 64 wheelbase is enough to make it look so. I have had a few of those and even thought about to modify the last 14 to 18 inches or so to make it a 6 foot plus shorty. I just pondered back then,.. never did try it. Obviously one would likely have to cut off some of...

Hey Wally. I took your concern to my body guy today. He has been working with fiberglass for 20 years. He agreed if done without care or concern of trapped moisture that it could happen. He assured me that what he has planned will not allow for trapped moisture. Thanks, and I appreciate your comment...
