Re: Warn hub restoration

I have located a factory service manual for my Warn hubs. They are not as complicated as I had imagined.

Warn hub restoration

I am closing in on the completion of my '70 W-200 project. I have spent a lot of time and effort to get it right. My front hubs look like **** and I would like to get them cleaned up and looking good. Does anyone restore the Warn hubs to new original condition ? I think they are M-7's, not sure howe...

Re: Travel Fuel Tanks

Hello Dan, That is the same set up I have in my '70 W-200. In my truck, the center position on the floor valve = the tank behind the seat + left and right positions = left and right saddle tanks. The switch on my dash is connected to the fuel gauge with the same positioning. Center position = center...

Not cracked or broken just needing paint.

Re: 360 heads

Thanks guys all for the help and advice on the 360 heads. My goal would be to get the 318 to breath/flow smoother and get a bit more torque. I am already running a modern/newer carb, high rise intake manifold, RV cam, headers and (I think) higher compression pistons. Any other suggestions ? It sound...

Re: 360 heads

Okay, I'll bite, do the 360 heads have ;
Bigger valves ?
Bigger intake and or exhaust porting ?
Better combustion chamber flow ?
Thus making more power or in my case more bottom end tongue ?

360 heads

The original 318 is still in my '70 W-200. I have heard that 360 heads will bolt up to the 318 block and will yield better performance.
Any truth in this ?
Thanks in advance,
Woody

Re: Confused on marker lights

I have a '70 W-200 and chased this topic in the past. As best as I can recall, (I'm doing this from memory) there are subtle differences between the Marker lights. Some have a bright silver, almost a chrome finish and others have a flat dull silver finish. Some have the lens held in be 2 surface mou...

Re: 1970 W series Power Wagon badge location

The 1969 - 1971 Power Wagon badges, from the factory, should be the same.

My '68 had a larger, different "font" located on the hood and from '72 on was totally different.

Swepty's W-300 ? does such an animal exist ? I always thought the W-300 was a step side box. What does the data-plate on the driver side door jamb show ?

Thanks in advance,

Re: Need Help Identifying my Paint Color

I've got factory color codes and color chips for 1964 - 1971. The chart that I have doesn't show " Forest Service Green " as a color. Check on the firewall, drivers side, there could be a tag referencing the color code. I know the color, as I had an x-forest service 1972 D-200. It may be called "Tur...

JohnB, the M-7 doesn't have the taper, it is cylindrical front to back. I'm sure you have seen them.

BTW; I need a lesson on how to upload photos.
