Re: 62 D200
easiest way for me to do this is to take screwdriver bit from your hand impact or similar....put a ratcheting box end wrench around it...and walllaahh. A tiny ratcheting screwdriver.. Fit it up next to the windshield and with a little bit of muttering; you'll get it out.

Re: Inside Arm Rests/Door Pulls
I used these in my truck...had a set sitting around from an F1 that left the shop before they got put on. the mounting holes were about an 1/8in off, but nothing to worry about, just redrilled and bolted them on, they hide the original holes under them. Fit good and look great:

Re: closed nuckle brake lines
coil your brake lines in a loop about 1 to 1.5 in dia at the corner where the bend needs to be made...this makes for a 90deg or sharper bend without having pinched the lines closed...just a thought. I haven't delt with this exact situation, but used this trick in a few tight spots on my d100.

Re: What is this panel by the carb on the intake manifold?
my truck has a manual choke...so there is a factory blockoff plate that is bolted over this port. It's basically apiece of sheet metal, so you could fab something easy and use some high temp silicone (like for exhaust gaskets) and you'd be fine. Or just disconnect the rod and leave the assembly there.

Re: Straighten bumper ?
i used a wood block and drove over mine with my jeep front tire... straightened em out good.. put the block on the underside so you don't "overcrush" them. Those bumpers are stronger than you would think....after an hour with a sledge hammer...this was my solution with great results...

Re: Break feel
that is or should be a brake proportioning valve. It allows more preasure to be applied up front to the discs, less in back. If this setup is for a 'drum' all around' setup like what was stock on your truck, you'll need to swap for a a 'disc drum' type. I pulled mine off of an 80's chevy with no ABS...

Re: lowering kit for rearend of sweptline
I just did mine 'without' the notches....BUT...you have only about 4 inches. I intalled rear air bags that mount on top of the ubolt plates, and and attach to a wellmade perch on the frame. These carry about 40pds on an empty bed, and will allow me to load my 'lowerd" truck up when i need to. I woul...

Re: New Gas Tank: Can Original Gauge Work?
Hmnn. The simplest way (expecially if someone has already done some surgery) is to address each system one at a time. There are a few good diagrams out there, but most sensor guage systems work the same. You must provide power to the guage: this comes through your ignition power, via a fuse, to your...

Re: eliminating vent windows
you can cut tempered glass no problem. I have it done all the time for other cars-chop tops, or one piece windows. Coming from the volkswagen scene, one piece windows are very common. (don't know if this information applies here as i haven't looked closely into the inside of a dodge door) stock regu...

putting the 160.00 EZ wiring kit in my sweptly this week. I've used this kit in a few trucks, and really haven't had any problem with them. They use the GM style wiring color and 'logic", which is easy to troubleshoot. Each wire is labled, and they're alread grouped and tied where they need to be in...

Re: Back to points
No problem.... k...points bolt into the destributer, The larger screw holds the points, 180'deg acrost from it the condenser bolts INSIDE using the smaller screw. The points plug into the condenser, and then condenser wire is fed out of the destributer. SO...ONE wire coming out of the destributer......

Re: Gas tank relocation
Not bad....
I just did mine the same way, but put the gas filler in the rear wheel tub. Cut in the sheet metal from the later truck so filler neck now screws into the 'angled' part at the back of it. Just reach over the bedside and filler ' up.

Re: A/C help
I'm doing a/c in my truck right now. I used a vintage air underdash unit. Left the stock heater box alone, and placed this unit center under the dash. If fit great! The a/c controls come in lots of styles, mine will hide behind the ash tray. As for vents, there are a few options. I opted to find a s...
