When I 1st looked at the truck, I thought it was some kind of farmer thing, since it was a farm truck. Figured it out after I bought it and saw the special equipment tag. I didn't measure, but looks like 2" of weld every 18"

My 64 D100 has a reinforced frame option on the data plate. It has channel welded to the bottom of the frame. Let me know if you need a pic

I put helper springs on my 64 D100. $120, 3 hours, lifted my truck back up to original height and maybe a tad higher. Bought the Rough Country kits from JC Whitney http://www.jcw.com rides a bit stiff, more like a 3/4 TON.

My kingpins had a set screw with a jam nut holding the kingpin in the housing.

My 64 d100 318 was turquoise too. I found paint at Summit Racing. Chrysler dealer would only sell it by the case. Click on this link

Mine is located behind seat on pass side (64 D100)

I decided to go with larger tires 30 x 9.5 x 15 on the rear and 205/75-15 on the front. I got the taller gearing I wanted with the reat tires at 29.8" o.d. and the narrow front tires are easy to steer with manual steering. Are you sure the flywheel isn't loose? They can be pretty noisy if loose.

I'll probably catch alot of grief over this: Are any of these brake or steering conversions "engineered"? Seems like there should be some kind of DOT approval process involved or at least an approval or certification from a Professional Engineer. Not like they are selling seat covers or floor mats. ...

Would the 19.5" from a W200 have the same bolt circle as my D100, 5 on 4.5"?

Thanks again. I looked at Bridgestone and Michelin web sites to see what sizes are available in 15" didn't see any 85 series. Looks like 30 x 9.5R15/C is the skinniest, tallest, modern tire to use. Can I put LT tires on my rims?

Trey, Data plate shows 3.5 axle, don't think it's been changed. Thanks for the size info, I haven't ruled out the aftermarket wheels. How much braking efficiency do I lose with those 31" tall tires.
