tough loss

Gave the 65 D-100 to my son in law and daughter. They used the truck in their wedding as the main event. This is a shot of it leaving our home in Ca. to the new home
in Casper Wyoming. On the way back they told me they had compliments in every state.

Re: how much should I ask for this truck

Decided not to sell it. $6,000 in the bank is getting me .00010% interest. That's $6.00 a year or 50 cents a month. I figure the truck has to be appreciating more than 50 cents a month. At that rate It would take over 650 years to have the $6,000 grow to $10,000 in my savings account.

Re: heat riser

What position is open with the heat riser. Is the riser all the way up to open or down?

heat riser

This might sound like a dumb question. I have a 65 D-100 with a 318 Poly. The heat riser will only move if I move it by hand. what position should it be in. I can pull it up toward the fire wall or it will go all the way down. I want it to stay open all of the time as I live in a warm weather area.

wiper motor

When I use my windshield wiper motor it will turn off with the wipers in the middle of the windshield and then come on again and then stop placing the wipers at different locations on the windshield. It appears some type of timer is causing it to act this way.
Is it a bad wiper switch or a bad motor?

Re: Slave Cylinder Rebuild Kit

I would always recommend checking with NAPA first. The other chains do not know how to or cant find any info on the older trucks. I was able to get a great rebuilt starter with lifetime warranty at our
local NAPA store for $69.00

Re: CASH OFFER

I know they are original from 1965. I believe they are 15 in 5 lug all steel wheels with original hub caps. I painted them stock color to match the bumpers and vehicle.

Re: CASH OFFER

I decided NOT to sell it due to the following three reasons.

1 I would assume the vehicle will increase in value as they become more rare.

2 wife wanted to pay off her student loan.( Never going to happen)

3 would miss not having it.

Re: to chrome or not to chrome

Well it looks like about 4 to chrome and 5 not to chrome. The idea of bumping into somthing and damagaing the chrome plus the show car comment have convinced me not to chrome it. I will just have to consider the truck as finished....... rats.......

Thanks for all the imput and comments....

Re: new vent shades

Very easy to install. I used some tape to hold them in place. used a small punch to set the drill marks then set the screws. You have to make sure the lip of the shade fits under the in the door felt window guides both on the side and top.
