Re: Your favorite single photo of your truck.

Here is a shot of my 1970 D100 beside my 1970 Chrysler Newport. Neither has been restored. As of this date (21 March 2017) the truck has under 80,000 total miles and the car has less than 800 miles since new. This photo was taken in September of 2009.

1970 D-100 bed cover

Does anyone have a new bed cover on their sweptline? I had one that was held on with velcro attached to the box sides. Damned thing shrank and would not stay fastened at highway speeds. I removed that and decided to order a new one that is still velcro attached but is attached to the box rails with ...

Re: bought 2 new motorcycles

I've had a bunch of Kaw's over the yrs! I love them. my all time favorite Kawasaki is a toss between my 98 ZX9, or my old Vulcan 800. enjoy, be safe & have lots of fun. Had a couple of them myself. Really wish I hadn't sold my 1982 750 Spectre. Shaft drive, air ride and smooth as silk to ride. I lo...

Re: Spokane, WA here i come

[quote="Outlaw"]we haven't decided what area we want to move to yet. i've been looking at a few houses on line but don't want to jump into anything this early. I've been searching online about the area. i'm deffinetly excited about the move! FYI: The base is actually closer to Cheney WA, if you want...

Re: More modifications?

If the valve covers are held on with bolts in the top of the cover, it's a poly. It the valve cover bolts are on the lower edges like most engines, it's an LA OK, now I know that I have an LA 318. Educate me further. Is the wide block a Poly, an LA or both, maybe neither. If I want to utilize the b...

Re: More modifications?

If the truck had a poly it isnt original. If it is indeed a 69, does it have a z bar or is it hydro clutch, should be z bar linkage. You will need a big block bell. The truck is indeed a 1969. It has the original 210hp 318 V-8 coupled to a New Process model 435 4-speed. It has the Z linkage you men...

More modifications?

OK, you guys were VERY helpfull when I decided to work over the rear-end of my 69 D200. I now have the 4.11 rear out of an early sweptline in my truck (originally a 4.88). It was a straight over swap after removing the brake plates from both axels and swapping them. The axel housing bolted right in....

Re: Rear end swap

I have a 1989 3/4 ton with a 4.88 rear axle. I found and bought a 4.10 out of a 1962/65(?) and brought it home only to discover that the older models had the E-brake on the driveshaft behind the tranny. Will I be able to make this work in my truck? Would it be easier to swap the gears or remove the...

Re: Got an extra eight grand?

I'm not saying I didn"t like the truck. i most certainly do. I paid way less than his starting bid for my 70 and it is just about as nice. Thats why I am like some of use here as to why to collect sweptlines. They are relatively cheaper to purchase and I think they look cool. And the reason I also ...

Re: 440 Six Pack Hemi

[These guys and the others on the Barrett Jackson Auction telecasts are HORRIBLE because they know NOTHING about these...ESP MOPAR. I must then come to the conclusion that they are making these sme errors when talking about makes/models that I am not familiar with. The only reason they get away with...
