Re: Calling all Central Oregon members.
Last time I counted (last Friday), I counted 22 different Sweptline groups on FB. Though, I have to say, much is lost on FB. At least, here, the information is saved and lives on for years. Good luck finding something that was posted over on FB that's more than a few days (or hours) old. The drawba...

Gear oil for '69 D300 Dana rear
It's been awhile since I've changed out rear axle lube in anything. So, what is correct for a '69 D300 Dana 60?

Re: How to transport a Utiline bed?
Flip it upside down an make sure you put two or three 2x4s for it to rest on, and that will keep it off both the Utiline fenders and the Swepty bedrails. Strap it to your satisfaction and roll!

1-800-RADIATORS. Got an aluminum rad for my son's Buick and was very pleased. Plus, they deliver if you are local to one of their outlets!

The 1961 - 1963 Ford F100 was available in a unibody configuration. I had one back in the '80s, and it was a good truck. I never noticed any body cracking on that.

Re: sweptline parts
To everyone - Exline is a one-man operation - he does everything - he designs and fabricates the parts, takes orders, and ships parts. Lots of things for one guy to do. Be patient. Be thankful we HAVE a source of new, American-made sheet metal parts and repair patch panels!

Re: Headliner
I used sound deadening material for my headliner, then glued the vinyl that I had that matched my seat to that. That didn't exactly work. So, now it's just the dura-mat style material as my headliner. Since this material can be ordered with color, I think the Duramat will come down and this tractor ...

Re: Ram man disc brakes
With his non-existent tech support and manners in speaking and dealing personally with customers, I'm sure he'll shut himself down, whether he wants to or not. He won't need help for that. Which is a shame, because he has a complete '64 - '66 Imperial front disc kit that is priced very reasonably th...

Re: Ram man disc brakes
It's a shame, because watching his ads on his webpage, it really looks like he has a top-quality kit. His customer service reputation is $h!t, however. I know one guy in KS that had ordered his kit and it all arrived in a few weeks; and installed rather easily. If someone intends to stay in business...

Re: Dodge Trucks in the movies and TVs
Pretty goofy looking West Coast mirror mounting. BTW, I really do enjoy this thread. Thanks for the post! In movies, the mirrors are adjusted to not cause glare, or result in a camera or crew/equipment or other unwanted reflection. Seldom are they shown as you would see them normally. Been there, d...

Re: How do I keep the "patina?"
The bad thing about linseed oil is it makes prepping the truck for an eventual paint job so much harder!!! There will always be residue in the metal from the oil, and any dirt that might hang around with that. Even with soda-blasting the surface, there will very likely be problems in the paint proce...

It would be easy enough to fab up a pair of them, or use a set off an A100 van or pickup.

Re: 318 engine paint color
Corporate Blue was universal in all Mopars in MY1972, and that way until MY1983. I'm leaning more and more to keeping it Blue, throw on my old Direct Connection chrome valve covers and dress it up a little. I like there is just an alternator to concern myself with (one belt). The truck shows 68K mil...

318 engine paint color
On my '69 D300, the engine is blue. I've yet to see if the engine is original to the truck. It may not be, because the pan is red, from another engine, or possibly a replacement engine that didn't have the truck pan and oil pickup tube installed. I know that a '69 small block could've been Red, Hem...

Re: Anybody got a Dealer Emblem/Decal?
Most dealers back then would put a dealer callout on the cowl or fenders, on both sides. If equipped with a tailgate, one generally went there, too. I remember doing dealer prep and detailing, back in the '70s, and that is what the Chevy and Dodge truck dealers did.

Re: Grille paint colour
If you use Chrysler Argent Silver (textured), you can really make those plastic grille centers pop...if absolute originality is NOT a concern. I've had several '71 trucks that I had done that on.

Hemicuda71 has passed
My friend Bob Tompkins (Hemicuda71 on the forum), aka Booker, passed away on 7 July 20. He had a few A100 pickups, plus a couple of Dudes over the years. He passed at home. We had a nice memorial service for him. He was a great guy. Stubborn, with a pretty wild sense of humor. And a lover of chicken...
