Shawn, yes that does mean hands free steering, had to use my hand to push down on my prosthetic, heavy clutch not enoungh strenth in my stump to push with leg. I free shift after out of 2nd gear. Also has a cotter clip on the end of the handle if it needs to be removed for someone else to drive. :T...
