Re: Lowering options?

I am finally back to the swepty. Got sidetracked with a few other builds. All other projects are finished and its time to make *#%^ happen. I have tried a few things to get the ride height I want, just couldnt get it where I wanted it. So, I started the hunt for a donor. I picked up this barn find t...

Re: widest rear wheel and tire combo?

Not the same wheel but same size and backspace I am thinking. I am tempted to order a pair and a set of 325 50 15s and give it hell.

widest rear wheel and tire combo?

What is the biggest rear tire and wheel combo that will fit without rubbing on a swepty? I have a 17x9.5 with a 275 40 on the rear now as a mock up and it fits nice. I didnt know if anyone had wedged a 300+ on a 10 under one or not.

Re: Lowering options?

Thanks cantspel, That is exactly what I wanted to know. I love the look of the dropped section in the front fender. I plan to run 18s and 20s on mine so with the drastic amount of drop it will still not be as low as yours. I just want the wheel wells to look stuffed. And yes, I do plan to run 4 whee...

Re: Lowering options?

Love the way it sits OKLAMOPAR. Are both axles on top of the springs? The front of mine has 7" between the top of tire and bottom of fender. And that is with only 4 springs.

Re: Lowering options?

I have been reading the boards here since christmas. I did search before I posted.Dropped beams are mentioned many times but nobody states where to get one. As far as bumpsteer goes I will find a way to fix it or make it much more tolerable. Once I get the stance I want it's just math to figure out ...

I have always wanted a swepty and recently found my unicorn. I didn't think Straight, rust free, garage kept unrestored Sweptys existed anymore. W...
