Re: My W500 crew cab on 46s

That truck is a real beast. :clap I'll bet you're a bit anxious to get it on the road, aren't you? ..... John Yes I am quite anxious to see how it drives and performs offroad. With 6.80 gears, these tall tires and, an NP540OD I will actually be able to run highway speeds. If I'm brave enough 😄

Re: My W500 crew cab on 46s

Its fitting that your picture is taken at a fuel station. That's about the only place I drive my W600 6 on 8.75 is that bolt pattern you mention. Nice truck Bucky Yes sir that is the bolt pattern. Late 60s and 70s Ford's had the same pattern as well. You can sometimes find them in 22.5 if you want ...

My W500 crew cab on 46s

Thought I'd show some progress on my '66 W500 crew cab. I was able to find a good replacement for my old widow makers. These trucks share a bolt pattern with M35A2s or Deuce and a half trucks. They figured out you can use military surplus mrap wheels and tires as super singles. I gambled on them fit...

Re: Past and present sweptlines

Here are more pics of the yellow one. Super solid California black plate truck. No rust through at all. Just dents and dings. Was a Caterpillar service truck.

Nice! Do you have any more photos of the yellow one with the Utiline dually bed?
I don't have any more that are compressed enough to post here. If you're on Facebook I can send some there. A lot easier. And as PwrWgnDrvr said it was for sale but has since sold.

Re: Past and present sweptlines

I absolutely LOVE your lowered D100. Something nice about old steel sitting in the weeds :) Thanks. It's a blast to drive. It's a bit blasphemous but it doesn't bother me. It's sitting on an entire 2011 crown vic police interceptor chassis and drivetrain. My buddy and I drove it all the way from Te...

Re: Past and present sweptlines

Wow! That's some collection you've had over the years. I think it's cool you are keeping the school bus. I mean... you never see those! :salut Thanks for sharing! Thanks. I had looked passively for a nice quad headlight bus for years, never thinking I'd find one in good shape for a reasonable price...

Re: Past and present sweptlines

That's quite a past and present collection you have. Thanks for posting photos. John Thanks. I've been quite busy buying and selling these trucks for the last several years. I seem to have just as much fun chasing them as I do driving them. Drove the red D100 from west Texas to Pike's Peak and the ...

Past and present sweptlines

I don't usually share many photos on here anymore as it's such a pain to resize and post them but I thought I'd gather some of the group pictures I've taken and share some of my past and present sweptlines. The school bus, W500 crew cab and lowered D100 are my keepers. 20201018_190211_copy_1008x756....

Awesome man thanks for posting. Any more pics of the frame swap?
My buddy did most of the swapping so I don't have that many of the process but I'll post what I have.

Re: My crown vic D100 swap and Colorado cruise pics

I forgot all about the Colorado cruise and don't think it was mentioned on this site. I don't see Robin's truck and I know he usually organizes this get-together. Every frame swap seems to create issues with the bed fitting properly, unless you move the floor or raise the whole truck body. Both of ...

Re: My crown vic D100 swap and Colorado cruise pics

Great pictures! Did you do the swap? I like the sound of a modern chassis, etc - how does it look inside and under the hood? :salut I had a friend do the swap. He did one to his truck as well. Under the hood it's packed in there pretty tight with all of the accessories. I'm still working on tucking...
